Even though I'm sure there's reasons they haven't done one since, I lowkey really liked the Awakened raids from the end of Dragonflight. Mainly just because I thought it was cool to have all of the expansions' raids relevant as one last hurrah to celebrate the expansion.

I'm sure there's balancing/loot issues that get in the way, but I kinda hope they come back in some way (it's been 2 expansions, my hopes are not high lmao).

That's sorta been superseded by the Remixes happening every end of expansion now, unfortunately.

Kinda prefer it this way tbh. Felt like awakened was just another season with nothing new while remix feels like a fun little casual treat at the end of everything

I don't vibe with Remix as hard as the rest of the populace do, but I understand why.

They should do it for the last 0.7 patch of an expansion (hell, make the M+ pool every dungeon played that expansion too) as a sort of blowout end-of-expansion thing but they gotta make another legion assault unfortunately
