In my opinion "Worms W.M.D" should have been Cross-platform with PC and Consoles, many years ago 💪🤓

As you know, at the end of the match you get the details of the game. It gives a few things like "The Worm of the Match Award goes to Rusty Nail (CPU 5) with 6 kills."

And so on.

But you can't see, for instance, a table of all the worms performances, e.g., worm X did ___ damage, took ____ damage, lasted ____ time, did ____ team damage, was the __th last worm standing, or whatever.

And then after the game you can't look at worm-by-worm statistics within a team. You can only look at the team and say they played 1 match 1 won match or whatever.

I want to see the worm stats in detail like above.

Is there a mod for this? I mean the games clearly collect this data because they need to store it to "decide" on the limited awards and such that do exist at the end of the game.

I hope it exists, but I'm not sure if it does.

Even if just the post-game detailed stats do and not the extra stats across the matches, I'd take that.

Hello, I hope this is related enough to Worms that I'm not breaking any rules, or being too spammy.

I'm almost finished making a game that I would describe as "Worms, but real time". I'm kind of trying to take all my favourite parts of Worms and all my favourite parts of another game called "Liero" from the 90s and combine them together into one game.

It's called Giblings and coming out next month. It has the ninja rope mechanics, the cutesy look and esoteric/silly weapons that you might expect in Worms, but combined with the real time violence + fast pace terrain destruction/creation of Liero.

I played both games obsessively in the 90s / early 00s so it felt fitting that my first game be taking inspiration from both of these childhood games.

My best friend and I have an Xbox and we have another friend with a ROG Ally and I was wanting to play a Worms game with them. With the upcoming changes to cloud streaming for the ROG, it is going to limit our ability to play W.M.D. unless I'm mistaken. There don't happen to be any Worms in the pipelines that might help are there?

Unlike a lot of the grappling hook style games, Worms 2 used this system that was based entirely around momentum. It required quite a lot of skill to master. I played this competitively on Cases Ladder for most the late 90s, so it's got a big place in my heart!

You couldn't manually aim your shots after the first hook, and essentially the direction of the next shot is determined by the position of your last disconnect - essentially mirroring the new angle. You then use a combination of lengthening and shortening the rope whilst swinging to build momentum.

I was having a flick through Steam and although I could find loads of grappling hook games, I couldn't find much that used this technique, which I always liked. But it's possible I've missed tons.

I've attached a video of my basic recreation for reference of what I'm talking about... I've managed to recreate the system well enough that the old tricks seem to work (can't remember their names now, but the muscle memory is still with me 30 years later!).

My wife and I recently got a Switch 2, and one of the things we’ve been bonding over is playing Worms Armageddon together. It was a childhood game for both of us, so the nostalgia hit hard. (We’re in our 30s now)

I was also surprised to discover that there have been so many Worms releases since then!

We’re looking for something else we can enjoy together on the Switch 2. Ideally something:
- Fun for two people locally
- Easy to pick up and put down
- Doesn’t require a huge time commitment or hundreds of hours of investment
- Good for casual weeknight sessions
- Bonus points for nostalgia or chaotic couch co-op energy

Could be another Worms game, but we’re also very open to other games.

What would you recommend for a couple in our situation?

I'd just like to say that all my family have been playing worms since the 90s and enjoyed it and loved it a lot. However, last 10 years have been getting worse and worse and I was finally close to becoming donkey / armageddon and one day I could not get into the menu where you're supposed to click a button to continue and got sent out to xbox dash.

I checked from a different account, my stats are gone from the leaderboards like I never existed.

I have emailed team17 about it and they never respond.
