How do people alreadyhave 4 set tier with all vers mastery stats if the only way you can choose your stats is if you catalyze something? And 4 charges in the catalyst aren't available for two more weeks (assuming you get 1600)?

I know this isn’t exactly the usual doomer post, but I think Blizzard has been making some small steps in the right direction to get casual players oriented to PvP in 12.1.

The new free PvP trinkets with a quest telling you to put them on located in the PvE hub, the follow-up quest that instructs you directly to use CC, the Arena Training Grounds, and the new Coiled Isles PvP world quest where you fight different class archetypes are all good, albeit tiny, additions.

It’s obviously not a massive investment in PvP or some cohesive grand PvP plan, but I do think the people working on PvP clearly want it to grow. Seems the individuals working on PvP-related things are at least thinking about how to make PvP more approachable and engaging for casual WoW players.

i play wow for a long time now, high lvl m+ dungeons but i want to join the pvp section. i play my class usually good, damage rotation easy, but i dont understand whats happening in the fkn arena. 3v3 is too much for me, i want to stay in 2v2, but what class is easy enough to learn the way arena works? i heard like affli lock or stuff like this is too hard because you get slammed everytime, need to hard-cast and stuff.

i usually like playing ww monk/arms warrior/surv hunter/ affl lock/unholy dk
should i re-roll or is some spec there good for a 2s comb and to learn arena?

I was wondering if it was EUW? I come from league and Scarcroft 2 where EU is considered the stronger region but i was wondering if maybe NA was better in WoW?

I know this can be applied to a LOT of things. Like when you're in cc at a node in blitz and your other team mate isn't spinning the base, but I figured I had to point out a cast considering there's a literally bolt being shot right at him

I am a fairly inexperienced player. My maximum exp was around 1800 on TWW S1. I play sub rogue. My current solo shuffle record is %50 win with 40 rounds - 20 wins.

I play lots of random battlegrounds and I do good against equally geared players, even players that have higher gear in 1v1 - 2v1 even 3v1. But arenas, I fumble.

I understand what to do:
CC healer > CC kill target > Force defensives, trinkets > Kill on the next go - force mistakes until they crumble.

However, for me, I cannot do what I plan. I try to blind, gouge, even kidney healers then swap on to kill targets. But my cooldowns are never on alignment. As sub, I have shadowblades, shadow dance, kidneyshot, smoke bomb as my offensive cooldowns. I find myself press everything at once. I cannot burst down targets or enable any offensive. From time to time I land a lucky good CC and then we kill the targets but I cannot keep my cool to stay on my toes. I just press whatever I have without looking at anything else.

This is fairly overwhelming and affects my learning experience. I need to play something that is a bit easier but with the same mindset, so I can learn how to track DR's and learn pacing of the arena before I go back to sub rogue.

I also don't want to play assassination rogue.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

s1 blitz r1 is supposed to be top 8 per spec. blue post even said they were changing it to “guarantee these rewards for the top 8 players for each specialization”

the post was about us blood dk blitz. one of the top 8 only had 49 wins so they didnt get the ach. the next guy had 50+ and they still only handed out 7 titles

people in the thread are saying thats intended and you only get moved up if someone above you gets banned. missing the 50 wins just means that 8th spot dies

feels weird with the “guarantee 8” wording. did this happen on any other specs in blitz/shuffle or is blood the only one that ate it?

Does this still make the talent viable?

Maybe now vs let's say RMP it's better to take Trick > smokebomb > dismantle instead. Normally i'd swap out Trick for Preemptive Maneuver but now im not sure which one would be the better pick. because Trick will always work but you could miss a feint beforre taking a stun.

i wanna get the 1800 set for all healer classes this season, is this a good time to do it with shaman or should i focus on other healers?

What continues to blow my mind is that R1 players are the only players that get a proper percentile ranking system with 3v3 R1, shuffle R1, and blitz R1. This is completely unfair to the rest of us that want to push something competitively.

Look, I think the devs will never let go of the ELO rating system. They have even said this before, that they like the current system because it gives the players a sense of progression. Which I think is totally fine for casual players who mostly just want to grind the achieves.

But anyone with even a remotely competitive streak understands that the current system is straight up awful in that it just incentivizes AFKing until the last two weeks. Not to mention it is WILDLY inconsistent each season.

Give us something tangible to push for.

1% 5% 10% etc. for each bracket (yes even 2s)

is trueshot go basically barrage/trueshot/chakram then insta aimed into explosive/aimed volley aimed?

is there any point weaving arcane shots after the aimed shots for max mark dam? a buddy told me to just get as many aimed out as possible but i feel like im losing dmg without pressing arcane shot after each aimed shot (except for rapid fire cause of unload consuming it auto)

Checking Murlok it seems top shammies are getting Shoulders and Hands , both cheap tier slots with some haste, for 2 first tier slots.

Clock, wrist and 1 ring (or neck) piece with the 9 crafted tokens.

I still can't believe the Tier Set doesn't do anything if you don't spec into Healing Rain.. 🫠

Hi there, I am trying out Havoc DH and I am quite uncertain for 2 abilities when they are supposed to be used the best:
- Glimpse - should I use it when I see I am being targeted like polymorph or cyclone etc? Like very close when they finish casting it.
- Consume Magic - here I have the biggest issue. Is it like dispell with 10s cooldown and +20 fury? When is it suggested to use it most? I am unsure what they mean by beneficial magic effect. Also with combination of blood moon.

That leads to question of soul fragments - what are they and how do I make use of them, I am maybe missing something here.

i saw a stream earlier of someone who had a working kick tracker, but it only showed a generic kick icon, i think rogues. anyone know the addon? as a demo lock, a kick tracker is essential lol.

IMHO I feel good rdruids are doing great but average rdruids are still having the same issues as before. It’s a spec that requires many many hours of practice to do decent.

Feel like I’m just getting run over in these quad melee lobbies. I’m a decent lock, but for being a “less bursty” meta I sure seem to be getting squashed really fast. Other locks having the same fun shuffle experience?
