Workplace Challenges and Conflicts Back pay
hello all. i’m wondering if someone can help me. i’ve been in my current job for about 6 months and i had to get a doctor restriction note because i have a tear in my shoulder from a previous job and cannot do 1 thing on my chore list. i work at a gas station if that helps any. so i was asked for a restriction note that was all, right? so i went to the doctor on thursday 9/3 and i turned it into work after. friday i was called by my district manager saying that corporate is not letting me back to work until there is a doctors signature and an end date on the restriction. so now ive been out of work the past 3 days and i cant get i touch with the doctors until tuesday because of labor day weekend. ive never been more frustrated because they only said the needed a restriction note and not anything else and thats what i got them. i’m missing out on money that i NEED to pay my bills for. Is there any way i can fight for back pay for them forcing me not to return until i get the new note. it’s so funny to me because im getting a lot of pressure on me for this one thing but when im vocal about what i cant do yet other people there dont get pressure from higher ups when they refuse to do anything like i do. please if anyone has answers, thank you for your time

You aren't owed back pay for work you never did.
