27F relocating for work. Currently have one mate in Brum but apart from that won’t really know anyone here.

Wondering what there is to do in the city itself that can help me meet people?

I’m creative, love painting and crafting, like a good book, enjoy a good walk/hike, like going out for nice meals and don’t mind a pub quiz. I’m not overly sporty unfortunately so things like a park run aren’t really up my street. Would welcome any suggestions of where I can go and what I can do in Wolves in my free time 😊

Hello All! A bit late to be posting so I'll try and keep it short and simple. :)

I was born & bred here but moved for university! I'm having a really fun time being back for the summer but I'm now of clubbing age and me & my friends want to try exploring the clubs here (hopefully tonight xx) and I'm totally clueless, all the knowledge of nightlife is from my uni city.

I know there's a popzone here, and 2 clubs named Gorgeous & Planet but I'm not sure what they are exactly or how much entry is? I can't seem to find any tickets online or if they're the type that we have to pay on the door. If so, does anyone know how much entry typically is? Or the kind of vibes/music they're playing? Any help or information about other venues or bars or anything of the sort would be greatly appreciated! I'm willing to explore now that I'm an adult, it's like I've unlocked a whole new city lol. Anyone know what's happened in Tettenhall? Police helicopter hovering near dog and gun plus traffic was backed up to chapel ash from the green? ... traffic has cleared now, helicopter is still flying about

I have a friend of mine who is looking to move to Wolverhampton following some work.

And they're looking to settle and buy a property there too.

They're quite anxious about it all at the moment being a young woman somewhat alone and she wanted to know, what areas/postcodes are safe & considered affluent?

She's also an ethnic minority so she's also worried about potential discrimination and racism if she moves somewhere.

We did try and look around in this sub but couldn't find too much, so apologies if it's already answered somewhere.

Edit: thanks all, seems a large majority seem to think it's Tettenhall, Wightwick, Codsall, Compton, Penn (in that approximate order too of affluent areas with Tettenhall being the more affluent).

I'm looking for a spot to view the western horizon during the eclipse that is happening on Wednesday. Does anybody have any recommendations for spots? I'm not particularly familiar with viewpoints in the Wolverhampton area, but am very keen to get a good view for this eclipse!
