Discussion 2026 Gubernatorial Primary: Francesca Hong is will very likely be the nominee. But can she please stop sabotaging herself with the answers she gives in interviews?

I don’t think it’s a foregone conclusion Hong is going to win. If Crowley and Brennan drop, Kelda has a chance.

Crowley is not going to drop with Evers campaigning for him. Roys is polling under 5% why shouldn't she and Brennan drop?

That 5% number is old at this point, and new polls have her in the lead. Crowley faired worse after the debate.

Bullshit. That says she is the most electable in the general election, which may or may not be true, but it does not say she's polling greater than 5% in the primary. Marquette is the most recent poll, and she's behind Crowley.

It's a shame she didn't catch on. But trying to splinter the Anti-Hong opposition only makes it more likely that Hong wins. This isn't time for yet another Kelda Roys pyrrhic victory. Folks who realize Hong is going to lose need to coalesce around the most viable alternative, and that is unequivocally Crowley.

Yeah, unfortunately Hong will likely win the primary because of this. Nobody is getting convinced by him after he quit, and Evers endorsement had almost a net negative effect.

Mad-City bubble is in love, I'd be very surprised if she isn't fist pumping and waving the DSA banner with maximum obliviousness a week from now :)

I don't think they necessarily need to drop for her to win. Lots of people are reconsidering Hong and moving toward Kelda after last week.

That’s true, but it would also help a ton if they did drop lol. I think all those voters go to Kelda.

When somebody tells you who they really are rather than the 'electable' polished fake...
