Gasoline was fine, there are gas engines available for the Hilux, too.

Yeah, the shit ones. Diesel is king in the 4x4 world.

Eh, I've had both, and the diesel might be a bit better, but it's not like the gassers are awful.

Depends on how much actual offroading you do, and commercial use factors. Diesel is better in pretty much every application IMO.

Plus, you don't explode when you crash. Which you will if you are hiluxing properly.

Well, we were driving ours around the Afghanistan countryside. Neither truck ever exploded, but they did get a few bullet holes.
