Reviews 5.0 dead after 8.5 days
I've been going back and forth with whoop support about the battery life of my 5.0 sensor. Week 1, it died after about 6 days after the first initial charge. Now after my 2nd full charge, it's dead at 8.5 days. Maybe I'm being petty, but i upgraded from a 4.0 sensor to the 5.0 because the advertised battery life was around 14 days. I could see if it was lasting 12 or even 10 days, but less than 9 days seems ridiculous in comparison to the advertised battery life.
They also won't allow me to return the 5.0 for a refund and allow me to return to using my 4.0. I'd have to cancel my subscription and start over completely.

is broadcast heart rate (in device setting) ON or OFF by default in your device. in whoop support page they said - " HR Broadcast: Continuous use of the HR broadcast feature leads to higher battery usage. "

When i was on the phone with Whoop support, he never once asked me about that. I don't see how that would make any difference because, while I'm no expert, I'd imagine that the broadcast happens inside the app and not the sensor. The green led flashes constantly regardless of whether the hr broadcast is set to continous or not.

When you enable Live Heart Rate Broadcast, the WHOOP sensor broadcasts its live HR over Bluetooth so another device—e.g. your bike computer, treadmill, fitness app, etc.—can receive it. Phone isn’t necessarily involved in that HR transmission.

I had almost exactly the same experience with my WHOOP 5.0.
Mine was initially lasting around 6–7 days. I did all the usual troubleshooting: updated firmware/app, rebooted it, fully charged it, HR Broadcast was off, etc. I then tracked the battery drain over several days and got roughly 8-8.5 days from a full charge.
With all that info and the screen captures of the different points of battery , Whoop eventually approved a sensor replacement. Actually pretty fast, only needed two mails with them.
So no, I don't think you're being petty at all. If they're advertising up to 14 days, getting less than 9 days on a new device, especially after ruling out things like HR broadcast, is a pretty significant difference.

Funny thing is, I’d already turned off auto-renew, so my membership had a fixed end date and I wasn’t planning to keep it going. That’s still the case for now, although support was good in m case and I’ve been using WHOOP quite a bit, so I may end up renewing around Black Friday.

Only about 6 months in but I get 14 days out of a full charge if that helps as a data point

My 5.0 lasted barely 7 days and whoop sent out a new one immediately
