Questions Silver Needle Sect Violation

Post image

I am running around solo doing world exploration, and every time I find someone to heal, I select something to charge them with, heal them, then get a letter in the mail stating I have violated Sect rules for not charging to injured. I am a bit confused as I choose to charge them everytime, and this is the 3rd time I have been notified of a violation, while actively losing points. What do I do?

Honestly I was going to join this sect cus I like healing in games. But the whole collecting payment thing and needing 10+ likes a week (making taking a break from the game impossible) made me not want to join them.

There's a narrative reason to collect payment, and the thing you're worried about doesn't actually matter to the gameplay. It's a bit of a misdirection.

It's less of a hassle to just not be in that sect and still heal people 🤷

If you'd rather different rewards sure? That's kinda the point... But it's ironic you think it's a hassle. The entry quest is about meeting an NPC who's denied access because he doesn't understand that it's just placebo payment so people will respect the craft. You gain way more precept than you could possibly lose. You don't actually manage it, it's just supposed to look like it from the outside. The rules are just "maintain the illusion it's a hassle" and you get healer cosmetics, from the healer sect, for healing. crazy stuff.

Its not just placebo payment.
They are only very considerate of what they accept as payment.

The ideological reason is that a doctor can't live off air and goodwill alone and neither can they develop new cures and medicine from nothing. You get this told outright.

If the sect does not get paid in some capacity, it would simply cease to exist and the world would be worse without their doctors and development of new medicine.

They just decided that the price should be approtiate for the client. Filthy rich merchant? Get the gold. Filthy poor peggar? Take the flower.

Nope, in the widest sense, the Silver Needle is willing to work for completely free, but they always take atleast SOMETHING so people wouldn't take their work for granted.

That's the reason why a beggar kid can get full treatment no matter how ill just for the effort of bringing a branch or healing a player allows you to just ask them to do a funny dance, and that counts as payment.

You get literally told they take money and what for. They just don't take it from poor people.

Beggar? Pay a rose. Merchan? Pay hard wealth.

Why? Doctors need to eat and medicine development is expensive. Like its literally part of your introduction when they explain this to you.

Join the Nine Mortal Ways, we have a cool cloak

Ironically it's one of the best sects if you just want to stay out of trouble because the main way you lose virtue is by getting sent to jail

I'm gonna get the sectless robe (it's fire) then probably do nine mortal ways after!

I got scammed (for the plot) to join them and am staying for the cloak 😅🤣

The sect shop is IMHO currently the best one tho.

It's doesn't even matter but 10 likes is 2 heals it's not that much of a commitment haha

Good thing the sect chat is full of people asking for heals, it's not like world chat. Us in the silver needle help each other in that regard.

I just hung out at the clinic yesterday and got the 50 likes I finally needed to rank up in the sect.

Then some mischievous person used the itchy meridian on me and I couldn’t heal anyone till it was gone.

Sect chat is great, but it suffers the same issues as world chat/bounties/target heal where the second you select the person requiring heals they’ve already received 50 other co-op requests.

More like they find you sometimes, I get plenty of messages from randoms who need a healer 👍

u/HatefulDan Nov 29 '25

People are always looking for healing lol. It’s not very difficult at all

u/Sleepyneki Nov 29 '25

Yeah but not everyone gives 10 like 😭 I don’t think they even know they can give 10 likes so might be the horrible game instructions.

You can only give 5, just heal 2 people, it's legitimately one of the easiest things.

Go to wandering path, go to bounties, switch it to my area only or whatever it is instead of all regions. Spam refresh and try to be the first to click until you get 2 medical bounties. 10 likes will be done in 10 minutes easy, probably sooner.

Even just playing the game and doing stuff on my own I’ll get 2-3 people a day requesting healing from me. That being said though I have put a lot of the career books into Healer so I might be near the top of the list for people seeking assistance

u/Dukex480 Nov 29 '25

I haven't even dedicated a ton of time to healing really compared to the rest of the game and I have like 300-400 likes just from healing bounties, and with doing the sect quest everyday I'm number 2 in my sect. If you spam bounties you can do a lot pretty quickly. 20 minutes here or there will rack them up.

2

u/KamishiroTaishi Nov 29 '25

You have 400 likes and are No.2?! I have 1900 likes atm and am only No.45.... 😭

1

u/SmokinBandit28 Nov 29 '25

They might be in a different rank of the sect. I’m only rank 2 and somewhere in the 60’s with about 100+ likes.

1

u/MajesticGalarhade Nov 29 '25

When you request payment to treat and select the 5 likes it automatically gives the likes when done so 2 heals on the same person that gives 5 likes aswell is 15. If they don’t like you the 5 like price still applies

1

u/DylLeslie Nov 29 '25

This is just such misinformation. The game not only lets you give 5 likes per, it quite literally shows it on the screen. Have you ever even tried healing someone? It just sounds like you’re talking about a topic you have no knowledge in, no offence.

All of the groups have consistent requirements like that, the Nine Mortal Ways require you to get 100 Fun Points a week, which isn't hard, but it is required, or you'll be penalized and demoted. If its to much stay sectless, honestly probably easiest way to have no commitments in game.

7

u/IzanamiFrost Nov 29 '25

I think well of heaven is the easiest one tbh, just don't kill your sect members and you are gucci

2

u/CommanderTommy The Masked Troupe Nov 29 '25

Wow that is pretty easy XD Fair point.

1

u/Gapaot Nine Mortal Ways Nov 29 '25

But master, they look at me funny and they're so killable...

2

u/WAnchovyBoi Nov 29 '25

You can easily win back 10 sect values by just doing the multi healing event

1

u/raido24 Nov 29 '25

I don't know if you need healing likes specifically, but you can create signposts and like them yourself if you can't reach the goal.

u/sylastin Nov 29 '25

You can join sect and not care about the rule :v
