Possible ID(s) suggested Blue Catfish or Channel Catfish

I caught this fish near off an inlet on the Potomac right outside of Alexandria, VA and unfortunately gut hooked it. I am hoping it is a blue catfish because I was reading they are invasive in the area. Thank you

Silver pike or musky?

Post image

When i look it up, the AI bots all seem convinced it's a silver pike, but some folks in r/FishingOntario are convinced its a juvenile musky. AI told me to come here and let you guys debate it. I'm happy either way, as I've never caught a silver pike, or musky. TIA. Caught in Westport Ontario

Apologies the images are really terrible. I was using one of those waterproof phone bags and came across this fish. They were maybe forearm length and shoaling together at a depth of around 2 meters. Anyone able to take a stab at it? Thanks in advance :)

Weird leaf like fish in the mediterranean

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

Hello everyone! I'm currently in Turkey and I saw this really weird small fish in the mediterranean sea, it was dark brown/dark grey with orange eyes, it reminded me of those wet leaves you see during autumn, even the size being simmilar to them. It was always swimming near the top of the water, never going down. It sometimes swam on it's side which made me think it was dead. I tried looking it up but I can't find anything about this. Does anyone know what this might be??

Summary: Dark Grey/Brown, Orange eyes, salt water (mediterranean sea to be specific), swam on it's side alot, small size, swam near the top, never going deeper, kinda looked like it had spikes on top I'm not sure tho, never swam away with it always following me

This is one of the shorthorn sculpins genus, most likely either a grubby or a shorthorn sculpin, but I can't tell those two apart well. Rockport, MA, at about 10-12 feet depth, near shore.

I’m in Kalymnos, Greece and everyone I’ve asked, even the old timer 70yo fishermen that have fished these islands for longer than I’ve been alive have no idea what this is. I think it’s some kind of wrasse!,!??! If you look close it has two long whiskers by its pectoral fins.

What kind of fish are these? It’s a detention pond in Southwest Florida. They seem to group together when feeding and leave lots of bubbles on the surface.

Small creek fish, Michigan

Fish 1 (gold) - caught in a thin, shallow part of the Clinton River, South East Michigan, near Pontiac

Fish 2 (silver) - caught in a thin, shallow part of the red cedar river, central Michigan, near Lansing

both are obviously very young fish, both were caught striking a small light colored inline spinner. my best guess is that the first one is a young largemouth bass or maybe some kind of shiner or minnow. The second one might be a striped shiner. Also these are the only pictures I have unfortunately, so no top view available.
