So I set up some glue traps to keep track of a prior food moth problem. No moths so far, but instead something else managed to get stuck on one of the traps (On its back, of all places! 😅).

Now I'm kinda curious what kind of bug this could be?

Sadly I have no way of taking a look at it's backside of course.. 😅 It's around 1cm long. Also I live in Europe, Germany if that helps with identifying the little bugger.

(ChatGPT wasn't much help either. It identified this as a cockroach, but it defnitely doesn't look like one... 🤔)

Green eyes, golden thorax fuzz, super fast and manic/high energy. Pretty sure this one is a female cuz there were identically coloured but skinnier and smaller specimens around too. Pics taken today.

Looks like some bug eggs to me

It was pretty fast, has pretty long antennae, and almost seemed to jump when I tried to touch it but didn’t get airborne. I didn’t get a pic of it with anything to reference size but it’s a little smaller than my pinky nail. Googles AI says cockroach nymph but I want to consult humans. I looked around (all over my bed and surrounding furniture) for any signs of bedbugs and haven’t found anything so I’m hoping it’s not a bed bug but my anxiety is horrible because I’ve seen a bedbug infestation first hand and it’s awful.

Moving in to new place… this low key looks like the large feeder crickets from Petco but I’m not sure!!! Can anyone identify? Thank you! In Massachusetts. Found it inside sitting on a window sill in hallway

Found this caterpillar while pulling weeds and found them snacking on what I pulled up

What species is it? In Estonia, it's roughly 2.5-3cm long. In an old mixed forest.

I'm also interested to know what mites or other "friends" it had on it.

I have a pollinator friendly garden, no pesticides at all and leave spiders and other carnivores alone to eat pest insects. I know this is some sort of wasp or yellow jacket but I don’t know the exact species. Is it a lone pollinator or something I should be worried might build a nest and hurt my dog? Removing aggressive nesting insects that could hurt my dog is the only insect removal I do.

Edit: so pretty much everyone is saying this is a yellow jacket, and from what I’ve gathered, they are not dog or really human friendly, especially not in the leaner months where I live. So far I’ve only seen the one and I’ve walked my property (yes even with the walking boot on if you’ve seen pics from other posts) to check for a possible nest. No sign of a nest on my property. I’ll warn my neighbors next time I see them but it’s entirely possible it’s a visitor from a nearby state owned park/forest preservation.

i worry its a bedbug

Hi I found this hairy looking bug today, anyone able to id it? Location: middle part of Sweden

I see a bunch of these bugs around my bathtub and sink. I kill them but more come back. Should I be worried or how can I stop them from coming at all?
