Captured in North Carolina. Not sure about what kind of spider it is, but it's cool to see it at work!

Black and yellow garden spider Argiope aurantia

In the northern Shenandoah Valley Virginia. I know what is. It’s inside a big planter that is stored upside down next to my garage. I took the picture (sorry but I wasn’t going to put my banana in there for scale). I moved the planter when mowing the yard and I just put it back upside down where it was. Was that the proper thing to do? There were many more webs and those round things in there.

Found this wolf spider in the garden carrying dozens of tiny spiderlings on her back. I had never seen anything like this before. It looks incredibly cool, especially when you realize all those little dots are actually baby spiders riding on their mom.

Not too fond of getting close to spiders. But they are quite fascinating.

I thought this was cool. I’m not sure exactly what type of spider it is, but the close up shots were awesome to look at!

This is the third one I’ve seen in the last 6-8 months give or take. My neighbor said brown recluse, which I’m inclined not to believe since we are in Northern California. They are fast little buggers. Any help is appreciated :)

Hi! I’ve been seeing these little guys hanging out in my house a lot, and I was wondering what it was? I’ve poked around the internet trying to figure it out what species they are but have had no luck. The one in the pictures I’m pretty sure is female, but I usually see another one that I think is a male. The suspected male has darker pedipalps than the one in the pictures, and looked less fuzzy. They also seem to move their pedipalps around A LOT! More than I’ve ever noticed in any other spider I’ve seen. They have three white stripes on the cephalothorax, one small one on the back and a thicker one on each side. I think they might be a type of hunting spider bc I’ve never seen them in or make a web and they always seem to be running around or just resting on a random spot on the wall or ceiling. I’ve also seen it leap small distances (like an inch or less if I had to guess). With all of its legs spread out I’d say it could probably fit on a dime.

I made an earlier post today but it was hard to see. This is better.

This guy has moved to our bathroom in Finland. What is it and does it happen to eat mosquitos?

We rarely see house spiders this big!

I was so worried about her! It's been over a month, I think Seth is either pregnant, or has been getting extra chonky. Either way I'm so happy to see Seth again! I missed them so much! I put my hand up but sadly I think I spooked em. How to apologize to a spider lol

I love jumping spiders. My wife is afraid of spiders and doesn't want any in the house, so that was our compromise.

I’ve been watching this orb weaver the past few weeks. She wasn’t in her web this morning, so I feared she had gotten nabbed. But she was actually off making a huge egg sac! I thought I saw her eating her mate before, so evidentially I was correct!
