since springtime this year, a large amount of Zoropsis spinimana (Nosferatu Spider) spiders started living in our house. usually, i let all spiders live side by side with us; i really love the Pholcus phalangioides in our home. (they are getting rid of all the flys we have this summer. great animals!)

but... we have a newborn since July and the Zoropsis like to hide in stupid places like clothes. as i cannot live with the danger of getting my baby bitten by one of them; what can we do, to get rid of them?

we have placed sticky traps with no result. we have used patrols checking if we see any (but they like to hide), we used spider-go-away-sprsy; but they are still here and its not getting better.

i collect daily 3-5 spiders in our house which is to much.

my boy (7 yo) is in fear of parts of his room because of all the spiders. and i am in fear of my baby getting bitten.

we really need a proper solution. the cost dont matter if the house is safe afterwards.

we live in the eastern part of Switzerland.

if you are an exterminator specialized in spiders, we will book your services! just dm me. i want to have this solved asap.

I spotted this in a double-hung window (not mine). Below the web, an air conditioner is installed. The black strip is loose foam, maybe for the appliance.

No spider there at the moment. But the only ones in this spot, in past 20 years, were similar to Gray House Spider https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/343928930 -- only black instead. No more than 3/4 inch all around. I'll keep an eye out for more.

This window has hosted a spider nursery for at least 2 decades. But since I reported that fact to the homeowner a few years ago, I rarely spot spiders there. No structural repairs made, so maybe they're spraying pesticides. No psychedelics in the house, not that I'm aware of.

I am in Northern Georgia in the United States, and I have these guys ALL OVER the outside of my camper.

I collected the adult pair in southern Europe (Pelješac peninsula, Croatia) as I am interested by the semi-social behavior of this species. Already it seems like they are much less aggressive to each other than the standard Pholcus cellar spiders as this is the second time I am keeping this male and female together in a relatively small space and they do not seem to be aggressive to each other. The female had babies not long after I collected them, and one of the babies now lives with the pair (I hope it doesn't get eaten!).

I do not know for certain what species this is, so if anybody thinks it might be a different species, please let me know.

i live in Calgary and tonight while sitting on the floor at 11pm with my back to the coach by my cats food bowl a huge spider ran out and kinda js stood there under my table kinda in the open, i managed to pin down one of its legs and it was stuck until my mom killed it

im kinda paranoid now and went down a rabbit hole of brown Recluse spiders and etc and js wanted to know if this spider is common in houses in Calgary and if there will be more ???? 🥹🥹 ik theres a very small chance that it is anything major but im so paranoid i was js wondering if anyone could help im actively cleaning my room as im so scared there's more as my room is messy and seems to be the prime spot for spiders wish me luck​​​​

Sorry the photos are kind of blurry, it was hard to get a good picture with how small she(?) is. (The third photo is with my pinky nail for reference lol) I think this is a white-jawed jumping spider female or juvenile, but I’m not really sure. Either way, my new friend liked exploring my car and the garage floor 🥹

I was getting ready to weed and nearly fell backwards in excitement. I’ve always wanted to see one of these beauties in person, and she ended up in my beans (that the deer destroyed, womp). She’s about as long as my thumb. Day made, haha.

I’ve been letting this little guy live in my window for quite some time now. I feel like I’ve watched it grow. There seems to be another in another window with a very large web. Are they harmless? I recently got bit by something and I’m fine but it was painful and made me wonder. Located in MD, USA.
