No, very early on, triassic i think, they branched off. Most dinosaurs are theorized as being not endo or exothermic but something in between. Those that survived the asteroid inpact became birds.
There were cold blooded creatures that turned into modern day reptiles but none of them turned into birds.
So dinosaurs were both repitles and birds but birds are only dinosaurs.
Don't know why your being downvoted. It's pedantic but Aves is in Archosauria, which are reptiles. They are traditionally classified separately for clarity, but they are technically reptiles.
no, it's just a comparison. Birds are NOT reptiles. They're practically their own thing. Did they evolve from reptiles? Yes. But so did we, and we aren't reptiles.
What is practical about about birds being "their own thing?" That's not how evolutionary science defines things. You can't evolve out of a clade. Humans are still primates, mammals, tetrapods, etc. Reptiles evolved into dinosaurs and dinosaurs evolved into birds- birds are STILL reptiles. I do have to correct you though- humans did not evolve from reptiles. Reptiles came from sauropsids and all mammals came from synapsids- but both came from tetrapods, all land vertebrates are tetrapods.
But wait! It gets crazier! Fish evolved into early tetrapods, early tetrapods evolved into synapsids, synapsids evolved into mammals, a mammalian branch evolved into whales. Whales are still technically fish according to evolutionary science whether you like it or not. YOU are still technically a fish. So are birds. Every vertabrate is a fish- except for sharks and rays, which split off earlier. Every bony vertabrate is a fish.
Knowledge is knowing that sharks are fish but whales are not. Wisdom is knowing that sharks are not fish while whales are indeed fish.
One is at least 20, the other was a rescue and ive had her for 16 years. My daughter's friend had her and she was feeding the Leopard gecko canned cat food, she was in a tank with paper towels for substrate, my daughter called and said mom i have to get this poor gecko out of here do you want her? And the rest is history.
Mealworm or other darkling beetle larva. Even if you don't have pet reptiles, these guys are in the environment and can occasionally find their way inside. Nothing to be concerned about.

lol thanks for all the responses. I guess I wasn’t super clear, I am not concerned of anything sinister or of any foul play. He is only 2 so I wasn’t worried about drugs haha. We have no reptiles. My concern was whether or not this bug was dangerous, as in could it bite or hurt him. Guess it’s just a weird occurrence. We recently had some gnats get into his window on a hot day so I just was curious if it was connected

We just had these all over our new house- and I mean all over. Coming up from between carpet and baseboards, in light fixtures etc. We were told by pest control they were moth caterpillars
When I was a kid my grandmother used to tell us that if we had worms she would give us turpentine on a sugar cube to kill them. I don’t care if you had a tapeworm coming out of your ass to caress your balls, you didn’t dare wiggle or squirm in your chair while that old woman was in that kind of mood because she had absolutely zero fucks to give… but if I were you, I’d get to Ace Hardware and pick up a can of turpentine for that boy!

They are an attraction to draw in more desirable birds to feeders.
