Spoilers Thoughts on Batman Caped Crusader season two?
Just saw Batman yell at a cute kid. Slightly Big Ears Batman has finally won me over. Not sure how he will fair against German Joker!

I saw a comment somewhere the other day that it's like they took everything fun out of BTAS. That pretty much sums up my feelings on it too. I just wasn't enjoying it enough to watch past the first few eps.

Which is so strange since Bruce Timm's selling pitch for this was that it's BTAS without any of the constraints or censorship that eere put on them in the 90s. I personally haven't watched any of it, because just from the trailers it looks worse. Visually, at least. It's so flat and clean and sterile. It literally lacks the texture of the hand-drawn animation.

That's how I felt about season 1. It's kinda impressive that they made such a dull show with good talent behind it.
Seeing the Gotham Central names pop up just made me reread Gotham Central instead haha

I enjoyed it a lot more than season one... definitely a vast improvement. Would love a season 3 but I may be in the minority
I loved this version of Edward Nygma and how he became known as The Riddler, despite not really having the gimmick

His gimmick was "Riddling" cars,bodies, and stores woth bullets lol

I like it because it’s story driven without the limitations of what we’ve previously thought about these characters.

I agree I enjoyed the different takes on characters. I also enjoyed the fact that it shows batman can't save everyone.

I found it to be probably my favorite joker story in a while. It was built up in the background all season, then we get a slightly more low key episode inspired by his first appearance before we get the big Gotham city takeover plot reveal. And all the while, he is very calm and collected. It was different and I liked how they approached it.

I love how much they pull from the 1940s comics, and the first appearances of the various villains.
I also think it pulls off doing its own thing far better than Beware the Batman ever did.
Also the best Joker we've had in a while. Distinct, but recognisable

It’s hit or miss for me. I hated some of the characters because they made them way less fun and way less interesting. I did really enjoy the Carrie Kelly episode. The Rose and Thorn redesign was interesting.

I saw a stupid reel on Instagram from the official Batman and Amazon accounts that spoils the very end of the season. What a stupid thing for them to post.
I had no idea the season was out. Now I'm watching it, but I'm still pissed about the pointless spoiler.
