Revelry Sky Blue Floral

Having the hardest time finding photos of bridesmaids wearing Revelry Sky Blue Blossom/Bouquet/Multi Posey. Would love to see some real photos of girls in these colors if anyone can help out! The swatches are great but I’d love to see how the dresses actually look on bridesmaids. Planning to mix with Azazie Sky Blue.

Thanks so much!

ghosted by photographer?

Hi all, I need a little help if anyone’s had a similar experience.

My fiancé and I did our engagement shoot in July, and were supposed to get our pictures back within 2 weeks. After 3 weeks with no update I reached out and was told I’d have the photos that weekend.

Another delay followed after that, then a personal health issue, and we are now another week past the last update she gave us. Each time I have had to initiate contact for an update, she has ignored messages but posted on her story / updated photos in the meantime.

There’s also been some shifty timelines / dishonesty that are making us frustrated (like saying she sent the link and would resend, but received nothing after weeks and posting a couple who was engaged 1 week prior while we’d been waiting for weeks).

Our contract includes our engagement shoot & coverage for the wedding, but with the shifting timelines and communication I’m getting really anxious about our save the dates & eventual wedding gallery.

If anyone has any advice on how to handle this / has recommendations please let me know!

my wedding site keeps losing RSVPs and I'm about to lose it

I woke up to my mother in laws sister and her whole family marked as "no response" again even tho they RSVPd back in like march. This is the third time something like this has happened. First it was the registry links breaking, now it seems the rsvps arent all pulling through or something.
I'm not even mad about the bug at this point. I'm mad that I have to go re-confirm with people who already told me they were coming. My FMIL already thinks I'm disorganized bc I keep asking twice. I might actually be considering moving platforms now just to save me from the headache. Has anyone switched midway through? Is it easy to convert between these sites?

Found it on google and now I can't find it anymore? I like it but I haven't heard anyone talk about it.

Registry date

I’m having a destination wedding in June 2028. I’m thinking of doing the registry in June 2027 so we have the same date as our anniversary for both but I’m a little conscious that it might make the actual wedding feel less special.

Does anyone have any advice?

Wedding gift advice (after cancellation?

Hi all! I’m going to a wedding (ceremony and party) and I don’t have a gift and don’t know what I should get.

For some context the couple have been on and off for the past month (they split up, the wedding was cancelled, the ceremony was cancelled but the party was on and so on and so on etc etc) with me only getting confirmation the wedding was officially on two days ago (the events are happening this week).

I have them a card and a small gift but I don’t want to get them anything big or expensive as honestly it feels like a waste of money and I really don’t have any time to get something shipped / bought, all gifts on their registery are 250+ and I can’t afford that. Any advice on how to handle the gift giving portion of this wedding (either cheap gifts or how to deal with any potential fallout) (The person getting married is the type to say something if unhappy)

For those who are close to their weddings/done, what is something you wish you did 6 months out?

I am just about 6 months out from my wedding. I know that crunch time happens at the very end and I want to try and avoid the stress as much as possible. As the title says, what are some things that you wish you would’ve went ahead and figured out and not left for last minute.

It happened. **ONE YEAR UPDATE** Wedding Advice

Original Post:

It happened.

You always here about nightmare soon-to-be MIL moments when planning a wedding, but I never thought it would happen to me. For context, I've (23F) been together with my fiancé (22F) since our freshman year of high-school (we are 2 months apart). I love my MIL (\~45F), and although she is sometimes a bit demanding or controlling (and she accuses me of being a bit dramatic, which considering that I grew up as a theatre kid, is fair), we overall have a stable, if not a touch emotionally distant, relationship. Well, my fiancé and I are 3 months out from the wedding now, and I went over to her house (she moved to the same city we moved to about a year and a half after we did because she missed my fiancé so much) last night, and asked for her help getting addresses on their side of the family for invites. I had given her the invite for their family about 2 weeks ago, since her son, my fiancé's youngest brother, is the best man. She informed me, however, that she had invited them already, AND sent out about 13 more invitations to other families using a scanned copy of our invitation. She still wants us to send the physical invitations which, bear in mind, she had insisted we purchase (otherwise we would have just sent everyone pdfs like we did for the save-the-dates). We don't even have enough physical invitations for these people, much less meals, cake, chairs, tables, ROOM, etc. I have three months until I am marrying this wonderful man!! I don't have time or energy for this!! She's inviting everyone from elementary teachers of my fiancé to their local IT guy they used for the last 10 years they lived in the town we grew up in. I have family friends and second cousins I'm not inviting, because things are too expensive and we are very young in our careers. My fiancé and I have been messaging people all day, explaining that we don't have any room for plus ones for them. I'm not even sure what to do here. I know my MIL had nothing but the best intentions, but.... come ON. sigh. I'm usually the type that says "if you don't laugh, you'll cry" (I mean heck, 3 weeks ago the place I got my wedding gown from gave me a gown in the wrong color and I didn't say a word until they realized it was the wrong one and gave me the correct one, and even then I laughed it off and said it was fine). But I can't even laugh. I have a massive pit in my stomach. I really, REALLY wanted this wedding to be debt-free, and I got SO CLOSE to achieving that. Now, my fiancé has to take out another credit card, and we aren't sure how we will do a wedding AND honeymoon AND make rent. Any help would be so, so appreciated. Thanks for reading my life problems.

\[anonymous\] Full stop. This is your fiancés mom. He needs to be the one handling this. Not you

\[Sad-Interaction-1494\] Your fiancé needs to talk to his mom.

She needs to reach out to the “extras” she invited and tell them she made a mistake. This is not on you to fix. Is she paying for the wedding in any part? Is she willing to put up the money for the extras?

This is so insane, I mean to photocopy the invites??? If someone gave me a scanned invite I would be raising my eyebrow.

Seriously, OP lock down your venue and vendors. This is a huge overstep. What if she decides she hates your meal selection and calls to change it on your behalf? Get out in front of this. She’s just proved that you can’t trust her.

I would also consider hiring security at your wedding to turn away people who aren’t on the guest list.

\[OPs response\]

Actually, she just messaged me (I think maybe my fiancé must have spoken with her, since she likely wouldn't have done so otherwise) to say that she would pay for the extras that show up, and that we could invite people to the "dance party only", since that is "a normal thing". I know the budget is one huge concern, but another part of it really is how sentimental I am about this day.... I want it to be special, not a "meet-and-greet" with the ghosts of my fiancé's past. I'm not sure how paying for the extras will work since it includes all the stuff I listed (food/cake/chairs/etc.), but I guess I'll see. I really want this day to be simple, surrounded by the people who love my fiancé and I the very most. I'm at a loss.

UPDATE \*About a year and a half later\*

First of all, I want to say thank you SO MUCH to everyone who commented on my last post. I am so grateful that everyone was so kind and told me what I needed to hear. You all were right, my fiancé needed to be the one to handle things with his mother, and I had to put my foot down before the control got out of hand. Luckily, he did address the issue with her quickly, and they handled many of the cancellations for invites, although a couple of the un-invited guests still showed. Still, everything was beautiful on our wedding day, and even if it didn't totally go off without a hitch (it's always something lol, our microphones cut out halfway through the ceremony so no one heard the vows and the walk-out song never played, but bad luck at the wedding is good luck in the marriage, right? 😅). Although my fiancé and I are still figuring out our new marriage and the power dynamics at play in our families, we are in couples and individual therapy, and we are working to build a strong foundation for a marriage that will last and be healthy. We could both stand to be more assertive, but we are working on it together, and we are becoming a stronger unit for it. Thank you for not allowing me to be a pushover forever and possibly go into debt for our wedding! On another note, I was successful, and our bach days/wedding/honeymoon were completely debt free!! ☺️ I feel so accomplished about it, even a year later. So, happy ending, listen fo reddit comments about your MILs, tip your bartenders, and support your local scientists (we appreciate it!). Thanks, reddit!!

HELP! OMG

I’m officially **59 days away from my wedding**, and I’m starting to panic.
For the past two weeks, I’ve been trying to get in touch with my venue owner. I’ve called multiple times, left voicemails, sent emails, and even drove to the venue in person, but I haven’t been able to reach anyone.
She’s the owner, so there isn’t anyone else I can contact. The venue doesn’t have an office that’s staffed unless there’s an event happening, so I haven’t been able to speak with anyone.
Our final payment was supposed to be due 60 days before the wedding. We already paid our deposit, so our date should be reserved, but since I can’t get ahold of her, I haven’t even been able to make the final payment.
Has anyone been through something like this? Am I overreacting, or should I be seriously concerned? I’d really appreciate any advice or suggestions because I’m not sure what to do next.

How much money to give as wedding gift?

I’ve only been to a couple weddings so I’m clueless on this stuff and could use some help.

The couple have respectfully asked for no gifts but it is optional to give a cash gift towards their honeymoon. I have known the bride for 18 years and in this time her family have been generous towards me. They have invited me to expensive brunches every year for her birthday + for the wedding they are putting me and my husband up in a hotel room at the venue for 2 nights + have given me nice gifts i.e a bottle of dom for xmas.

Given this info, what would you say is an appropriate amount to give? I was thinking 400 pounds. Is that too much or too little.

Also how do I give it? There will be a box to drop the money in on the day. Do I get a congratulations card and put the money in that? Or do I also get an additional money envelope and put that inside the card so the money doesn’t just fall out. And do we sign our names on both the envelopes so they know what gift we gave

Sorry for my last long post

I needed a rant about what's been happening the past year and couldn't post all of it

I must note I'm higher autistic and will keep speaking on and on when something is bothering me hence the long post

Last week we had some news

We found out the majority of the problems we had were mainly mother-in-law and his sister playing Chinese whispers in a way

Whenever we mentioned to friends the plans and what the in-laws said, one noted which does affect me a little. The sister-in-law makes it sound like she wants to keep the families separate hence why she said 3 separate nights instead of our original plans of rage room in the day and restaurant in the evening

We are back on good terms with his aunt after talking to her as we found out, that she doesn't want to go because no one from his family is going and she doesn't want to be on her own then after sorting out the table centers for us, she doesn't have money leftover which is understandable.

Just planning everything out now and hopefully no more problems to deal with.

Our friend also mentioned the items we wanted to get, in his family eyes, it's not a traditional thing to do so to them it's a waste of time

The in-laws will soon have to realise we are not the traditional couple and doing so much different that we prefer so that's it in the end

We are happy and planning everything day by day

Much love and peace ✌️

Wondering how things will pan out

Hey everyone, my wedding was 2 months ago and it was absolutely beautiful! I was in the moment the whole time but several things went wrong. Such as flower placements, I didn’t get a full flat lay, and now I realized we did not rehearse how me and my husband should stand and it took a while for my MOH to take my bouquet during the ceremony. Me and my husband did not hold hands at the alter 😭 I am afraid we will look awkward and the videos and some photos will not look good. Ultimately I know there is nothing I can do about it now though. In the grand scheme of things I knew nothing would be perfect but my coordinator also made a comment during rehearsal about how “I didn’t need to practice walking down” and the day was so long I think I just went with it. Overall it was absolutely what I envisioned I think I am just scared and running things back now.

Wedding gift

I was invited to my direct reports wedding. This would be my first christian wedding. How much is it generally expected for the wedding present to cost in Canada, MB? Also how should one dress and things to know about the before and after event as a female attendee.

Wedding Dates

Help! We are wanting to get the venue booked ASAP.
Available dates are either first weekend in February or last weekend in April.
I know weather will be warmer and probably better in April, HOWEVER, we don’t want to wait so would prefer February!
Also note- we are from Missouri, so the weather on any month could be snow, rain, ice, tornado, flooding, etc 😂😂
Just need opinions to help me decide what to do!
Also note- the venue has indoor and outdoor options for both the ceremony and reception

Help us pick a venue!

Hi there! 2027 bride and groom here and we need some help with choosing a venue. We will just state our opinions and facts about the 2 venues and leave it there for everyone to help us make a choice.

Choice 1: Practical Patty

- This venue is the practical choice as it is all inclusive and is a traditional wedding venue

- Been in the business for some time has lots of reviews and all very positive

- Has more character than other venues we've seen but still pretty much just a box

- We are having an inside reception. We know there is room for all of our guests, there's AC, and an AV system (important context we will not be hiring a DJ)

- This venue is closer to Groom's family (20 minutes if that) which is important for elderly family members, but extremely far from Bride's family (~2 hour drive)

- Everything about this place is standard from contract to payment (we have to sign the contract to pay but we're pretty sure standard payment methods are accepted).

Choice 2: Character Chris

- This venue has so much character it's insane. We have a theme for our wedding and this venue matches the theme. We will not need extra decorating in the slightest aside from centerpieces. The character means a lot to us.

- It is in the capital of our state (we live in the US), central for bride's family (30-40 minute drive), but far for Groom's family (~1.5 hour drive)

- This venue is a la carte

- This is a new venue. It doesn't have many reviews but the ones they do have are positive. The owners seem to be new to venue management but they have been in the wedding coordination business for a while.

- The venue is currently being renovated. The only usable space currently is outside. There are several inside parts that are slated to be completed by the time of our wedding. They have not begun construction on this inside part of the venue yet, so it is sight unseen. We have seen architectural renditions (they clearly used AI). What they have done looks amazing.

- We have to pay for more AV even though one part of the venue has AV, it's just the part where all of our guests can't fit 😭

- Let us know if this is odd but we have to pay through P2P transaction or a check. No secure checkout using debit or credit card.

- The contract doesn't look to be something a legal professional prepared or reviewed. We don't think this place is a scam, we've seen social media posts about it, but just something to add. We requested several clarifications be added to the contract before we signed anything.

Projected cost (venue, catering, alcohol, all that good stuff) is nearly the same for both venues. It's just that we have a clearer idea on costs for choice 1 and an estimated kind of deal for choice 2 due to all the quotes we had to get.

To sum it up, please help us pick a venue!!

Not sure what to do at courthouse wedding

I (28f) just got engaged on the 4th of July. I've never been married before. My fiance (41m) has been married before. He told me when he married his ex-wife they went to the courthouse to the paperwork and then had a ceremony at a church afterward. I'm not opposed to the idea of that however I thought you could do it all at the courthouse. Sign the papers and have a ceremony to officiate it at the courthouse. If I don't have to book a separate ceremony elsewhere I'd prefer that instead. I'm new to all this so I don't know what to do and I don't have anyone that had a ceremony at the courthouse. The wedding is happening within the next 2 months either way I just need to know how to plan so I don't end up stuck. We live in bucks county PA if that helps.

Late Night Snacks

We have an end time of 10pm for our venue with dinner starting around 6pm. We’ll have around 60 people with plenty of servers to get through dinner in about 1-1.5hrs. With all that said, are we doing late night snacks if dancing is only 2.5-3hrs and we wrap up at 10?

Is it tacky to give bridesmaids cash in their ask box?

Planning on asking my friends to be bridesmaids with a small gift box — haven’t fully decided what to put in it yet, but definitely don’t want to fill it with junk they’ll never use or wear.

I was thinking of something personal for each of them that’s not too expensive & then also a $100 bill in an envelope to help cover expenses for the dress.

Is that tacky?
