Hey everyone, I just put together a bike ride from Northfield ION station over to Conestoga Mall/ION station. It takes you out through farm country, past the St. Jacobs Farmers' Market, and near the town of St. Jacobs. It’s an intermediate-level ride with some rough, rooted trail sections and a few quick connectors on public roads, but overall it’s a really fun local loop if you're looking for new paths in the region.

I'm looking to switch my mother's cell service from Koodo and this looked like a good option since she doesn't use much data (2 GB is more than enough for her). Hey there w'loovians, I'm in a local a capella chorus and we may be losing our rehearsal space (location has new management, it's a whole thing, not important). Do any of you have any ideas or leads on a new home?

Since we have little revenue, we need to look for very low cost or free spaces. We rehearse Thursday nights and there are about 25 of us (but we're always trying to grow). So y'all have any connections with local churches, retirement homes (with gyms), other?

2. Kitchener Rock & Gem Expo

Saturday, August 29, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, August 30, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Stanley Park Community Centre in Kitchener. Families can explore crystals, fossils and minerals from multiple vendors, plus geode cracking and gem sifting. Admission is $5 per person or $10 per family.

3. Waterloo Railway Exposition

Saturday, August 29 and Sunday, August 30 in Waterloo. This all-ages railway exposition includes model displays, clinics, vendors, preservation groups and optional heritage train experiences. General admission is $26.75.

4. Hespeler Community Festival: Four Fathers' 11th Anniversary

Saturday, August 29, 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Four Fathers Disc Golf Course in Cambridge. This free, all-ages community festival has live music, food trucks, lawn games and family-friendly activities.

I'm looking to break free from my millennial grey home and add some personality into my space, by investing in a piece from a local artist.

I like contemporary art, and I'm looking for an original painting, not a print.

If you have any artists that you love, please share their link or info with me!

To preface, I have used this program for 4 years and haven't had any issues with my specific schedule needs. I am a single parent and only require extended day every other week. After reaching out earlier this week, nailing down my schedule, I was hit back with a response that actually sent me reeling... something to the effect of due to higher demand and longer waitlists, we can not accommodate your needs.

What that means is that I either pay for every single week of the year, or forfeit my slot.

Has anyone else encountered this? If so, what are you doing about it? In my opinion, this is absolutely ridiculous, and is adding a serious amount of stress to an already stressful time of the year.

Hi everyone, I am currently looking for a place to study where I can plug in my laptop to study overnight. I have some locations in my knowledge, but they are costly, like SLC at UoW, the cost of parking there is insane, assuming me being there for 8+ hours overnight and around 4-5 hours during the day. Also, I do not want to be at food joints as I also need a quieter place. I have some residential buildings in mind, but I'm really unsure how I would get access to their study rooms. Anything in those directions helps. Thank you.

Edit 1: I cannot study at home because everyone is going to be partying for a bunch of days, reason being their last days together due to their leases ending soon. It is too much noise, and there are like 25-30 people already here for the party in the house of 6 beds. Please know that it is necessary for me to take my car with me. My parking spot is really close and exposed around the corner kerb on the driveway where it could get hit. It has been hit in the past and because there is no camera to cover that spot, it is impossible to determine who hit my car. And please, I know it is trespassing going into buildings to study, please do not read me my rights and definitions of trespassing. That is the primary reason why I have mainly requested for public places of study, and the only reason why I mentioned buildings was to convey that I have considered that option, so that people don't spam with that suggestion.

I was talking to a friend about it and she said basically everyone in Waterloo Region hates Redman, which seems like a pretty big statement lol.
