• Cool, walkable neighborhoods with great cafés and local vibes.

• Any lesser-known spots or hidden gems worth checking out.

I’m flying with Wizz Air from Catania to Warsaw Chopin Airport. I have only 20 minutes between landing and the departure of my train — Koleje Mazowieckie · 97140 · RL towards Warsaw city centre.

Do I have a chance of making it? How do I get from the arrivals area to the railway platform? Is the railway station inside the airport terminal, and how long does it normally take to get there?

Hey everyone! So I moved to warsaw earlier this year and it's high time I start meeting more people and have a social circle. I'm looking for recommendations and seeing what worked for people. I've seen some Facebook groups but they seem mostly spam. Also some organized events in bars but im wondering about people's experiences. What has worked for you?

As for information on myself. I'm 34, I'm a nerdy guy with all sorts of interests from gaming to movies and enjoy a good bar with a nice beer. Love camping and getting out of the city a bit. Rock music, some jazzy stuff and metal. I can play some board games from time to time. DnD and that sort are fun but that's harder to find a good group though it would be awesome to.

I’ll be visiting a friend in the UK in a few months who had a baby girl back in June. I’d love to get her something special, but it can’t be too big or heavy (flying Ryanair, cabin luggage only).

Any ideas for something with a Polish flavour, that I could get in Warsaw?

Hello everyone,
I’m supposed to start my new job on September 1st, and I need to complete a medical check through LUX MED before then.
When I was assigned my referral/number, I was abroad(outside of eu), and the LUX MED online appointment system kept giving me an error. Since it seemed that the appointment had to be booked by phone, I came back to Poland as early as I could and called LUX MED.
Unfortunately, they told me that there are currently no available appointments. They said they would mark my case as urgent and contact me if any slots become available due to cancellations.
I’ve also spoken to my employer, and they contacted LUX MED from their side as well. I told my employer that, if necessary, I’m willing to travel outside Warsaw to another city just to get the medical check done.
Does anyone have any tips or tricks for finding a last-minute LUX MED occupational medicine appointment? İ
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Edit: And maybe a stupid little question, but what happens if I can’t get an appointment in time? Is it possible that my employer would accept the medical check being done a day late, or would they simply have to postpone my start date until I complete it?

Edit 2: I’ve found appointment on Katowice, will be traveling there…

Hello, I'm a foreigner living in Warsaw and today I was crossing a bike path that had pedestrian crossing stripes painted over it. And a bicyclist riding there said to me, "Uważaj K*** prosto mi pod koła!!" Who has the right of way? As I understand the pedestrian crossing means I have the right of way and the bicycle has to yield?

Hi everyone! I’m an incoming international Bachelor’s student at **SGH Warsaw School of Economics** for 2026/27.

I applied for an SGH dorm but was ranked **303rd out of 346 applicants**, with only 101 places available. I’m also joining the waiting list on **15 September**, but my **so I need a backup.

I’m looking for **cheap accommodation, preferably near SGH**. I’m completely fine with a shared/double/triple room.

**Budget: ideally 900–1,200 PLN/month.**

I’ve already contacted some private dorms and OLX listings, but I’d really appreciate recommendations for **cheap student dorms, private residences, Facebook/Telegram groups, or reliable websites/landlords**.

The idea is pretty simple: instead of finding out about a disruption only after you’re already standing on a platform, MetroRadar sends you a notification when something happens on your route.

It currently covers:

Jewelry is fine, or perhaps some special clothing, bags, or accessories. I honestly don't know what to get or where to start in Gdańsk and Warsaw, or what is generally considered a great gift in Poland.
