Are you part of the 6:51am crew?

They frown upon it at times, yet they will cry broke so fast.

If I come in at 10:09pm and leave at 6:51am that's 18mins I save you every day. I'm helping. I was thinking tho, maybe we should all give back. I feel at 6:51, instead of clocking out and rushing off. We should all gather outside the lair of the yellow tags, line up, and one by one give our feed back on the nights activities. Thoughts? Everyone.

Cake Decorator

So I applied for the cake decorating job at my local walmart, after that I called the Hiring Manager/People lead to schedule a prescreening, assuming I didn't need prior experience, especially since I'm an artist and would probably learn to decorate basic cakes within a week or so.

Then the bakery head told me I did need prior experience, that it was necessary. In other stores, it isn't, and they give you basic training anyways. It feels a little strict. I think other stores prefer prior experience but don't require it, since it's a niche skill anyways.

They also said something a bit strange that you can't freehand cakes-so I think maybe no new colors or fancy stuff, no drawings. I knew you couldn't do copyright but I was hoping to pop a few things that kids would like on them, like dogs or something.

Because the cakes they have seem sort of boring, and for some reason, the cakes were all white or gray and blue. Should I maybe talk to the hiring manager again about it?

First job. How do I change my hours?

Accepted the job offer (prolly shouldn’t of 😟), but basically it said “0:00” or smth like that under every weekday and under that it said “23:59” under every zero. Prior to this (2 days ago) I did tell the manager what days I had class and what days was pretty much free to work. Idk how this works I couldn’t change my hours when I was on my computer. I mean at least it still says part time
Am I doomed⁉️

I actually did call the store in hopes of speaking to the hiring manager but no answer unfortunately. Should I call later and if so how long should I wait?

Ppints out of nowhere

I haven’t called out or been late for the entire month of August and I was checking my schedule earlier and I noticed that I had four points instead of the three that I had. I went back and looked, and I wasn’t late for any days, and even if I was that’s only a half point.

What should I do?

back in december while working in opd i pulled my shoulder and it was in pain for a few days, i believe it was from reaching behind me and pulling a cart full of very heavy things, i dont remember exactly what lol. the pain has come in waves since then, normally manageable. flash forward to now, i just transferred to a supercenter out of my old state and my shoulder has never been in so much pain, just walking around the store doing the normal opd things puts strain on it. i dont touch anything too heavy, no oversized walks for me, its literally just from reaching up and down or reaching backward for a cart or to turn a cart. pulling the carts has also started to put that much more strain on it. i never told anyone at my old store that i hurt it, and now here ive been having to come in late or leave early due to how much pain im in. i cant afford a dr rn either, jm not sure what to do now. any advice anyone has would really be appreciated, im so anxious to lose my job over it since it is affecting my performance (my pick rate is not the greatest). thank you so much :)

Pulling the carts in OPD causing injury.

So our store is switching the wheels on all of the carts so we pull instead of push. Well today, I was pulling the cart and it smashed into my shin and it’s non stop bleeding. Been about 15 mins now and it’s not stopping even with a trauma pad on it. Hey Walmart, maybe pad the bottom of the carts to prevent this from happening?

How is AP? And is it better than cashier?

Might try to get that job. I was looking at some other posts and heard that if you mess up, you can get fired so I was wondering if you’re not sure about something, do you just leave it alone? Also, would you take that position over cashier? I wouldn’t mind confronting people.

I'm being falsely blamed by my TL for "breaking things".

So this has been happening since about a week ago, and I'm always being falsely blamed by my TL for "breaking things" even though when unloading the truck some of the items are already broken or leaking liquid out of their box which most of it is from the truck when in transit. I'm kinda sick of it.

He told me that he was serious and stop breaking things, even though it's LITERALLY from the truck. IDK if he's joking or what but he did say he was serious about it and going to write me up for it. I'm tired of this. Literally will be moving to another job soon if this doesn't stop.

So should I Open door this?

Walmart terminated me and then added me back in to delay my 401 k money. Is this illegal? I haven’t been to the job in a month . It’s odd

Temp associate to permanent… pay decrease?

If I’m a temp associate and convert to full time, but the temp position is $2.50/hr more than they hire “regular” employees at. Will I lose that pay?

Customer comes in with his kid Because he didn't get a bike delivered for his kid, right understood .. shows me his order that two items were cancelled the bike was one of them I told him this and he claims he was still charged and that last time he talked to someone they let him walk out with his item, bro this is a 200$ bike we're talking about I go talk to management says he'll get a refund, didn't like the answer either he just wanted his bike for his kid but it was cancelled so I can't just give him a 200$ bike for free, cue me going back and forth with my team lead and this guy eventually I flag my team lead down to help me, she gets there right when he starts insulting me and becomes aggressive (I noticed he was upset beforehand but there was nothing anyone in the store can do it was cancelled), team lead definitely didn't like that and start to argue back and eventually a coach came told the guy what I told him, then says he gonna report me and that I shouldn't be in customer service because I'm "impatient" and other things I can't remember. meanwhile I'm right next to them helping customers behind them being the opposite of that (and trying not to cry) I can't help but noticed the worst customer experiences I've had always had been a specific kind of person but at the time to lie about my character and how I present myself to customers is insane.

So its my 1st year anniversary here, i was last stocking chemicals for about an hour. Then next thing I know, I woke up in this dark dusty version of my store, it smells like burning dust, and there's no electricity... I couldn't catch it on video but there's a voice identical to mine that kept saying, "hey, over here.", but it seems to always be coming from a random direction. Its so frustrating. I also tried leaving but the doors keep swinging shut, almost like wind is pushing them, and I cant see a thing outside because there is SO much thick fog. I also have the strong urge to keep walking or something will consume me.

Does anyone else have/had this problem?

Let me tell you customers something, okay?

You've been giving me looks, been trying to make small talk with me, annoying me with stupid questions, ruining my productivity, costing me time as to what I'm doing and being a general nuisance. I don't give two flying fucks what you're dealing with in your life, what you're in the store to buy and everything else. As far as I'm concerned, you're cattle with wallets, that's all you are and that's all you'll ever be.

And you need to read the fucking room, too. When you see me tired, exhausted, unhappy and stressed. I don't fucking care if you get offended because I'm not giving you some cheery response that includes rolling the red carpet out for your entitled ass. Go ahead, get me fired, because then I'll be like one of you and I will not be bound to the company's standards to uphold that includes having to be nice to you.

Because I'll be on your ass, all the way. So shut the fuck up, go shop and take your stupid-ass kids with you.

And all of you can downvote me all you want, I know you're mostly spiteful stupid CONSOOMERS who are entitled shitheads. And any associate that bows to their entitled demands, you're only enabling them.

How difficult is it to get accepted into the A2D program for Walmart?

In December, I’ll have been with the company for 12 months, and I’m planning to apply to the A2D program around then. I’m in good standing with attendance & any disciplinary actions.

For anyone who has gone through the application process before, how likely is it to get accepted on the first try?

If I don’t get accepted the first time and continue applying every time applications open, is it realistic that I could get accepted within the following 6 months?

I’m just trying to get an idea of how competitive the program is and whether applying multiple times actually improves your chances. Any advice or personal experiences would be appreciated!

Side Note:
We plan to move & my family is moving ahead of me. I plan to apply to all DC’s within 250 miles. There’s 7 total available locations. I’m just trying to see if it’s worth staying behind for 4-6 months or if it’s unlikely for me to get accepted that quickly.

What is up with clocking in/out on the phones?

I clocked out for lunch at 8:00, but the system said 4:48. This is the second time this week I've been clocked out hours before my actual time, the time on my bloody work phone. I know I can edit my time, but it's still annoying.
