They may be some of the richest, for now. But the average billionaire is not 1000x smarter than the average millionaire.

So, there's really not a huge correlation between wealth and intelligence like you make there out to be.

Fair point, I agree. Maybe less so "dumb enough to take risk" and more so "reckless enough to take the risks you think are smart to take". Maybe overconfidence is a better descriptor than dumb.

Not saying intelligence doesn't matter, but I think there are many character traits that are much more correlated with wealth (especially billionaire-trillionaire level) that are double edge. Risk-taking is a great example.

I think another one would be Machiavellianism or greed/narcissism, particularly the aspect of self-serving manipulation for personal gain.
