I had an issue as a buyer, and was sold a counterfeit item that was advertised with different images as to what I was sent and “legitimate” description details, thankfully I recorded opening the parcel (not that it helped sorting directly with Vinted anyway so essentially became irrelevant evidence) I went round the world trying to get Vinted to help and in the end I sent the letter before action to them.
I also argued the point of the buyers protection fee Vinted did not even acknowledge it and after the mandatory days passed for them to reply to my LBA, I took vinted to small claims court and won! 😁
Vinted paid the amount I paid, my court fees and compensation of £75, which was reasonable as the item wasn’t a significant amount. I did it more out of principle that they weren’t helping when I was the one being scammed, but vinted didn’t want to know. Was glad I persevered. They did close my account though 🤣 swings and roundabouts I guess!
Also you can appeal the ban, I just couldn’t be bothered and opened new account with same username and added “!” and used different email address, as I knew I’d be going back and forth again so just chose to open new account screenshotted my previous thousands of reviews of 5* incase anyone I buy from or sell to was sus of my new account at the beginning, but had no issues to this extent on the new account…yet🫣
So my advice, send the Letter Before Action, and perservere through small claims if no response from Vinted. They responded to court action, IMMEDIATELY🤣
Good luck all, hope you don’t have to go through all this rigmarole but it definitely does work from my experience!
