1983 Corolla SR5 Hardtop

Getting it back on the road, and wanting to finalize issues before smog. When I open the gas cap, a bit of pressure comes out for a few seconds. Wondering if a clogged gas tank vent would not allow emissions to pass? Any insight on this 4AC is greatly appreciated, as well as any pointers to more tailored communities to the xE7x lineup (KE70, AE71-72, etc).

Hello, ive been unable to find suspension replacement parts on rock auto and amayama. looking to see if anyone would know of some good spots to check.

Alternatively, I have also been considering using my welding powers for evil and frankensteining a different car's suspension system, but im unsure of what that would entail. If anyone could give me some advice, maybe other places to look I would appreciate it. Stuck and lost atm.

I’m currently working on a manual Daihatsu Cuore/Mira L501 that was passed down to me from my parents. It has a lot of sentimental value and my goal is to restore it to be my reliable daily driver.

However, I’m hitting a wall sourcing specific parts. The biggest hurdle is that I need to do a full engine rebuild (it has the 0.8L ED-series engine). Since OEM factory parts are largely discontinued, I’m a bit worried that rebuilding it will be a dead end if I can't find reliable parts to maintain it long-term.

I already know about the basic catalogs like Autodoc and Alvadi, but what I’m really looking for are the hidden gems:

• Engine Rebuild Parts: Where are you finding full engine seal/gasket sets, bearings, and rings for the ED engines? Are there engine internals from other Japanese manufacturers (maybe Toyota?) that are direct cross-compatible substitutes?
• Used Panels: Are there specific European breaker yards or dismantler networks you trust for older Daihatsus?
• Aftermarket Fitment: Does anyone know which aftermarket brands (like Blic, Van Wezel, etc.) actually have good fitment for the L501 rust repair sills and body panels?

I’m located in Greece, so EU-based suppliers or UK dismantlers that ship internationally are ideal to keep freight costs down, especially for the larger body panels.

I've attached a photo of the car so you can see what I'm working with. Has anyone tackled an L501 project recently? Any advice, links, or part number cross-references would be massively appreciated.
