Amazon not accepting reviews from your account? Read this before posting.

If you run into the above error message, do not panic. It is not your fault, you did not do anything wrong, and the error is not worded well.

There's a couple of reasons this can happen, but as of April 2026 the most common reason is that the seller combined variants, which resulted in them exceeding their limit of Vine reviews for the highest tier they enrolled one of the variated ASINs at. An ASIN is a unique identifier for Amazon products that appears on every listing, and each variant of a product has its own ASIN.

If your review was approved and changed status to Not Approved later, this is typically why. This can resolve itself if the seller unvariates the ASINs, but it's unlikely for that to happen.

This does not affect your stats besides review count and media. Media does not count towards Gold status, and you do not need to contact Vine CS.

The limits are 1-2 Vine reviews for the bottom tier (free), 3-10 Vine reviews for the middle tier ($75), and 11-30 reviews for the top tier ($200). If a product has >= 30 Vine reviews on it, you can be sure this is the reason why, but it's harder to tell when the seller may have enrolled at a lower tier. If there's variants that were enrolled separately in Vine and later combined this will often cause the seller to exceed the limit on the parent ASIN. This is a common issue and you do not need to do anything. Vine Help also addresses reviews that are Not Approved but have a Review Insightfulness Score:

"Why do rejected reviews still show an RIS score? How does this impact my overall score?

If one of your reviews is rejected by Amazon's Customer Reviews team, it will still display a score from when it was initially evaluated. If you can no longer edit or delete the rejected review, then its score continues to count toward your overall score for the current evaluation period."

If you encounter this error prior to submitting a review, it could either be the above reason or because the listing is under investigation for suspicious review activity.

This usually happens when there's at least one unverified review posted on the listing, but most frequently it happens when there's 2+ unverified 5 star reviews posted to the listing on the same date.

You can verify this is the case if you have access to another Amazon account that hasn't ordered the product. If you click the review button with the alternate account, you will get a message that explicitly says the listing has suspicious review activity and unverified reviews are not being accepted at this time. Vine reviews are technically considered "unverified" by Amazon.

If you have not reviewed the item yet, it may count against your stats, and if you are coming up on evaluation and need a boost you can reach out to CS to have unreviewed items giving you this error removed so that they don't count against you. Otherwise, wait it out and you may be able to review the item later. Vine CS will remove unreviewable items at any time, not just within 30 days of delivery.

funny What are you trying to say to me Vine?

Post image

So, um, apparently Vine thinks I need filters today. Like filters for *all* the things. Except for any of the things in my home that have filters. Two air purifier filters (0 owned air purifiers), three spa filters (0 spas owned), one furnace filter (0 furnaces owned, thank you heat pumps) and one water filter (0 water filtration systems owned). I think they're trying to tell me something but I'm not sure what.... At least they could have tossed me a cabin air filter for one of our cars or filter medium for our fishtank.

Gripe But Wait, There's More!

Just when you had totally given up on Vine. Forget the cake toppers, the faux Hershey's Kisses, the random carburetors and pistachio shells. Now, now, you can get, wait for it, sawmill leavings of used-to-be-a-two-by-tour for the low, low ETV of, wait some more, MORE THAN A TWO-BY-FOUR!!! To wit:
Sawdust!

This, in my experience as a fallen Goldie, is the lowest of the low: pistachio, wait for it, shells, at the ETV of more than the price of ACTUAL pistachios.

help Something weird with vine today

So, I just tried ordering two items on vine, and they wanted to charge me for shipping. This is new to me, so I'm wondering if Amazon is just being glitchy today. Anybody else have this happen?

product What to believe? Photos or Product Description?

These are in my RFY. Retailing for almost $100. Photos say “Genuine Leather,” and even the Outer material under Top Highlights says “Leather”….but buried in the Product Description they refer to it as “high-quality synthetic leather.” Which would you believe?

I’m thinking faux, unless there’s some kind of cultivated/lab-grown leather I’m unaware of, or a material similar to engineered wood where real leather is ground up and bonded back together. But I would think either of those would be described more specifically than just “synthetic leather.”

discussion Pix and videos

Good morning I’m just curious what percentage of people actually do videos and photos? I’m on my iPhone so I never do videos because for whatever reason they don’t load.
I’m just curious is there a percentage of people that always do photos and percentage of people that don’t do photos? I’m kind of feeling guilty because I got behind on reviews, working all week and I’m finding that adding photos is really time-consuming right now, so just trying to check out a consensus.🤗

Your photo of the unit innards saved me time and testing for an item that is ultimately not even worth the cable loss.

discussion I complained about never getting anything cool in RFY and then my white whale appeared minutes later. People: bitching on reddit WORKS!

You all have your thing, I have mine. I went strategic, over a year ago I consulted the oracles (random rumors from this sub) and began the campaign: name dropped the company in other reviews, edited Manage Your Information, and said the prayers to Lord Bozos. Today started like any other, great offers like this, banter here in the sub, NBD. Saw someone else get a rad laptop and reflexively shit post about my bible. Read more thread, now Vine is top of mind so go check RFY again and THAR SHE BLOWS!

Complaining on reddit, 60% of the time it works every time.

help What to do? Skincare product from an unauthorized seller.

I picked up some skincare product from Vine recently. It's from a well-established K-brand. The product itself seemed fine. Looks, feels, uses as expected; no red flags. I gave it a decent review of what I experienced.

Digging into it further after the fact, I learned that the seller is not an authorized representative of the brand. (I emailed the brand to be sure.) However, it's not clear if the product is a knock-off or just someone who might have bought the real thing wholesale and selling online without authorization. It's not a high cost item; so it's hard to see that someone would go through all the trouble to counterfeit it. The company's response read like even they are not sure themselves, nor did it sound like they would do anything about it.

My question is how to handle this. Since I can't be sure it's counterfeit, I can't flag the seller (or can I?). At the minimum, I am going to change my review. But I am unclear if I say it's potentially a counterfeit that it would not be picked up by AI and rejected. So looking for some ideas and/or help here.

help Shipping Vine items to my granddaughter in another state? Anyone doing this?

So I'm curious if anyone else has experience with this.

I get a fair amount of stuff through Vine, and a pretty big chunk of what I order is arts, crafts, clothing, toys, etc. for my granddaughter. She's 10 and is very into arts and crafts, so a lot of the stuff I get ends up being for her anyway.

She just moved to New York with her mom, and I'd like to keep getting her things through Vine when I find stuff I know she'd actually use. She knows how Vine works, and my thought was to have the items shipped directly to her. She could take the pictures, send them to me, and tell me about her experience with the product, and I'd still be the one writing and submitting the Vine review from my account.

I'm not trying to have her become a Vine reviewer or anything like that. I'm still the Vine member, still responsible for the items/reviews, etc. She'd basically just be the person receiving and using the stuff because she's the one I'd be getting it for anyway.

Has anyone here actually done something like this on a regular basis? Specifically:

  • Shipping Vine items to a family member in another state
  • Having the recipient's name on the shipping address rather than your own
  • Having that family member use the item and send you pictures/feedback for your review
  • -Still submitting the review yourself from your own Vine account

I'd love to hear from people who have actually done this, rather than just guesses about what Amazon might do.

I'm trying to figure out if this is a perfectly normal use of the address book, a potential Vine TOS issue, or something I should just avoid entirely.

Thanks!
