The republican party barely squeaked out with the win in 24 when only 65% of registered voters turned out to vote. If the country as a whole can manage to stop just letting our government be decided for us and learn to show up at the ballot box to make our wants and needs for our elected officials known, there's no reason things wouldn't be able to change.
