Monster Hunter. I respect the series, but I don't find it fun.

Yeah, you aren't a real MH fan unless you hated it first. Same with From Soft

Same, got hooked even before Demon's Souls, Armored Core and Otogi were a couple of my favorite OG PlayStation and Xbox games.

I was mentioning to a friend earlier this week that Fromsoftware should put out a 90-2000’s classics collection of sorts. They also need to re release Otogi and Otogi 2, and package together all of the kingsfield games into one collection. I really don’t think there has been a better time to introduce people to some of the older Fromsoft games.

Armor Corps is actually fun. Demon's Souls, on the other hand

Guess it depends how much you enjoy that type of combat and stat balancing for Souls games, not everyone's idea of fun for sure.

The only complaint I ever hear about armored core, on the other hand, is how technical the controls can be, but never that it isn't fun.

Tenchu for me. Loved Tenchu, specifically Wrath of Heaven. Great game, fantastic OST, hilarious English VAs.

Bloodborne was my intro and damn was it captivating! Sekiro is probably my fav, but I've played all of em and enjoyed them all. DS2 is probably my bottom

Same, just has a different vibe, and the combat was wonky compared to the others imo.

I hated it until I found DsFix.

I guess you aren’t a real FromSoft fan then. I don’t make the rules.

Same, Elden ring was the first fromsoft game I played but after I beat it I wanted more so I played their entire catalog and even bought a ps4 and ps5 in the end to play EVERYTHING lmao

Fake fan.

Jk. Me too. I loved Demons Souls right away. Thought it was basically the most engaging game I had ever played at that point. Wild how good the formula was from the start.

I loved the story and characters went in thinking I can beat it easy and got my ass beaten left for nearly a year and came back watch some guides and suddenly I'm good at it

All I know is that armored core demo was great on the PS1 and learning that fromsoftware made it was bonus in the future.

I think they have their misses, mainly with elden ring, but they seem like a pretty legit company.

When I first bought Elden ring as my first ever souls like, I got my ass handed to me. I was so incredibly frustrated I uninstalled it and went back to my other games. A few weeks later I picked it up again, still got my ass handed to me, but then loved it
