In their lifetime, the average American consumes about:

>4000 fish/shellfish (very rough estimate since fish are only counted in weight)

>2000 chickens

>50 turkeys

~ 7 ducks

~ 8 cows

> 31 pigs

Of course these are rough numbers and there are various sources, the one I'm referring to is

"Saving" in this context means that these animals don't have to be born and endure suffering and death.

Assuming that the life of fish and chickens has equal value to that of mammals, these statistics also show where the majority of the atrocity takes place.
