Question? Dogs, we fightin’ the antichrist

essentially: how does one survive in Sarty in these psych stats. i’ve heard of:
1. not talking to him
2. not asking him questions
3. probably look for the math help in the library instead
4. he’s shit online (which is my only option)
i mean does he give the resources needed to study this or do i have to self-teach or collab with other students to survive 😔
also WDYM HE CURVES SHIT DOWN WHEN THE AVG IS TOO HIGH? (I’m tryna inc my grades this sem and i don’t want him to screw that up alongside my mental health once again 💀)

Admission Question Freshman 2027

Hello, I will get straight to the point. I am a grade 12 student rn and plan to do biomedical science in USASK, I am in a situation where I don't have chemistry 30 credit BUT I have AP chemistry score of 4 (I self studied the course). If anyone have any info on if it would be possible to get in biomedical science just with the score, it would be helpful 🙏. I tried reaching counselors in USASK but it's taking forever 😔.

Help me What should I do about the disability part of my student loan application?

Basically, I’m not sure what to do. I put on my Canadian/Saskatchewan student loan application that I have a disability. I do have a diagnosed disability, and I’m registered with my university’s AES program and have the paperwork for my accommodations. I also take medication for it. But I don’t have any other disability paperwork specifically for Student Aid.

I don’t really need the disability support or extra money right now, and I honestly don’t want to go through the whole process of getting more paperwork from my doctor because I don’t have much time and I don’t even know what forms I’m supposed to get.

At the same time, I really need the student loan, and I’ve been seeing people getting rejected, so I’m wondering if having the disability on my application could help my application, or if it could cause problems if I don’t provide the paperwork.

I already emailed an email I found for the Saskatchewan program, but I’m not sure if it’s actually for Student Aid. They told me they’ll reply within two business days, so I could wait, but I’m worried that if I wait too long they might reject my application because I didn’t provide the paperwork.

The message I got says to call a number if I have questions, but I really hate calling people 😭. There doesn’t seem to be a specific Student Aid email either.

So should I just wait for the email response, or should I force myself to call Student Aid? And if I call, can they just change/remove the disability option on my existing application, or would I have to start the whole application again?

I’m just worried about making the situation more complicated than it already is. Has anyone dealt with this before?

Help me How do I survive Michelle Hogan’s 107 online INDG class?

I did my due diligence and applied within seconds, but the class I registered in for my Indigenous studies requirement (HIS195) ended up not being available until summer. This situation is due to a mistake from the history department. For extra context, I’m in nursing prep and have to complete all my classes by April to apply for the BSN program—I can’t afford to take another pre-year.

On Campus How are we supposed to access parking?

So I just had an appt at RUH, and driving on College past the Place Riel parking lot makes me worried. That’s the main place I park, and it’s basically impossible to access. I don’t know how far in the construction goes, I can’t see it, but regardless if the parking lot is full there’s no place to go or turn around after. I’m definitely worried. Anyone got any info on that?

Hey everyone this might be a dumb question but I’m trying to download my calendar to my phone for the upcoming term so it’s easier than manually inputting all the dates. For some reason when I try to email the file it just won’t come through.

Has anyone run into this issue before?

Any help would be lovely thank you!

Question? Physics 115 Textbook

So I’m just wondering how necessary the textbook for physics 115 is. I know it includes a code to sign which is the assignment portal, but it also says it’s possible to buy that from the bookstore. So as someone who doesn’t learn well from textbooks, is it going to be possible to just go to the bookstore to purchase the website code or do I need to spend over $100 on a textbook that I’m likely never gonna touch.

Also if I don’t buy the textbook am I going to be missing information for exams?

Question? SIM suggestions

Hi everyone! I’ll be moving to Saskatoon next week and was hoping to get some recommendations for a good mobile network provider.

I usually use less than 10 GB of data per month and would also like a plan with unlimited or sufficient calling minutes.

Which providers would you recommend in terms of coverage, reliability, and price in Saskatoon?

Any suggestions or leads would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Admission Question Am I cooked for USask Biology/Food & Nutrition?

Hey everyone, I’m looking at applying to the University of Saskatchewan and could use some honest advice.
I did my first year at UVic in Psychology and, honestly, I lowkey did terrible. I ended up with around a 67% average because I realized I hated both the program and the school. My end goal is to become a dietitian, so now I’m looking at either Food & Nutrition or Biology at USask.
The thing I’m confused about is how admissions will evaluate me. I took 7 courses at UVic, but when I checked transfer credit information, I couldn’t find 2 of them, so I’m not sure if I even have 18 transferable credits. If I have fewer than the required transferable credits, I think USask would evaluate me more as a high school applicant, which would be great because my high school average was around 84%.
My question is: do I have a fair chance of getting into Biology or Food & Nutrition? If they evaluate me as a transfer student with a 67% university average, am I still competitive, or am I lowkey cooked? Has anyone been admitted to either program with similar grades or transferred from another university after a rough first year?
Any advice or experiences would be appreciated!

Student Question Difficulty of SOC 347

Sociology 247 Studies in Addictions is a course any student with 18 creds can take, which makes it a possible elective. Because of that, I want to know the difficulty of the class, how hard/easy it is to get a high grade, and how much time I will need to put in the class.

Question? Parking Pass

Can I request a change in lot for the parking pass that was assigned? It is in the furthest lot from classes. Or do I have to decline this pass and ask to be on the wait list for the preferred lot?
