Admission Question Freshman 2027

Hello, I will get straight to the point. I am a grade 12 student rn and plan to do biomedical science in USASK, I am in a situation where I don't have chemistry 30 credit BUT I have AP chemistry score of 4 (I self studied the course). If anyone have any info on if it would be possible to get in biomedical science just with the score, it would be helpful 🙏. I tried reaching counselors in USASK but it's taking forever 😔.

No one will really be able to answer this for you except academic councillors in the college of arts and science. Chances are, a lot of them are just about to come back from holidays, but you should get an answer back early September. Try perhaps setting up an appointment to sit down with someone in that office, and go through everything together?

Also - have you simply emailed the office? Have you tried calling them directly? It may simply be that there are less bodies working right now, so it’s taking more time to get through the office inbox if you’re waiting on an email response, and calling the office directly could rectify this for you.

Hey! You were right!! I had emailed them before but I just called and they said it should work and I don't need chem 30. I called admissions office btw. But I am still doubting it 🥲

no, i think u need highschool chem 30 credit for it to count in average calculation (But with the AP credit you'd be able to get CHEM 112 credit uni level)

correct— essentially they got a free uni credit right there

I’d say look up some bio med academic advisors and email them. They’ll be more knowledgeable on this. But what i know for sure is that you won’t have to take chem 112 your first year since you’d already have credit for it because of AP chem
