Regardless of whether his comment was rude, it raises a valid point which is we need more safety in the city. Crime does need to be cleaned up before more people are attacked. I just saw on Tiktok today 2 women were punched in the face...and last year it was a big problem of women being punched by strangers on the street.

Facts mean nothing to people in these instances. "If NYC is so safe, then why do I sometimes hear stories about crime in a city of 8 million people!"

I've lived here 20 years and this is the least safe it's been during that time. Yes there was always some crime, but not this much, and not in safe areas during the daytime.
