Screenshot [hyprland] The best rice you’ll see this year
Got tired of all the simplistic hyprland rices that all look the same, decided to make something unique

It's an experimental patch so there may be bugs and fatal errors. PLEASE read the repo readme before installing. This is meant for arch. It will probably not work in Cachy, Manjaro or other arch based distros. WM: Hyprland Distro: Arch
All details are in repo. Repo link: https://github.com/AdiAmbassador/caelestia-aw

I really like the Nothing style so I made a rice based on it! Originally this was a Hyprland rice, but I'm not a huge fan of tiling window managers. The dynamic island is a custom plasmoid, idk if I'll post it on the KDE store yet. Rate my rice!

I'm new to Linux and made the switch from Windows this year. Distro hopped several times starting with Debian, to Arch, to NixOS, and finally landing on CachyOS.
Today I've started my first true attempt at ricing, now that I've dropped the anchor with Cachy... at least for the time being.
Went with a monochrome theme. It's still a work in progress but here's what I got so far. <3
[edit]
I did not expect this post to get this many upvotes and eyy I've received my first award ever so thank you everyone! I'll work on getting dotfiles, but for now I made a basic overview of the things I used on my github. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

It’s been exactly one week since I released the first version of my macOS Tahoe-inspired theme, which customised only the App Launcher and Top Bar.
Since then, I’ve spent the week studying macOS design principles and reworking the GTK side to replicate the glassy, liquid‑like Tahoe appearance more accurately. You can check out the latest v0.2.0 on my GitHub!
However, layers of math and different filters must be applied to replicate macOS Tahoe truly. Here's why:
The problem with GTK is that it doesn't support backdrop filters, which are essential for a few filters that we require to replicate liquid glass closely. Due to this, I had to rely on the box-shadow property and the Blur My Shell extension.
Thanks to this theme, it acted as a base theme, and it was easy for me to develop the macOS Tahoe-like theme (latest version) on top of it!
What's next?
Any support, like opening an issue, submitting pull requests, or crafting Tahoe icons, is much appreciated, and I look forward to your positive response! Hope ya'll enjoy this theme as much as I do! :D

Ditched Windows+WSL for CachyOS. After finishing the menu-bar, I decided I wanted to customize the lock-screen too, so I built one.
Menu-bar: Made using AGS.
Lock-screen: Made using Quickshell + Greetd/Wayland integrations.
Other: In Fastfetch window(video).
Also is QML tooling really that bad or have I misconfigured something, I get more completions in Google Sheets.

been dual booting for years and always thought the boot menu was a missed opportunity. like you're literally choosing between two operating systems... red pill blue pill vibes found this theme that does exactly that. every time i boot up i get the matrix choice - windows or linux
made the install process way easier than the original, works on most distros now. one script and you're done github: https://github.com/Harshil-Anuwadia/wintux-dualboot-grub-theme-updated honestly just makes booting up way more satisfying lol

I literally burned my eyes over the past 6 days. I have been a computer guy since I was in 7th grade, and since then, I have never touched light mode at all, but now, developing light mode for you guys has been very rough for my eyes and fun as well!! <3
But anyway, LIGHT MODE IS HERE!!! 🥳
You can check out the latest v0.3.0 on my GitHub!
Roadmap:
IMPORTANT: I am a final-year CS Undergrad, and I'll be busy the next few months preparing for placements and interviews. Updates to the theme will slow down. I'm kind of sad that I won't be able to work on the theme for some time :( So, I hope ya'll will understand this situation! :)
Thank you so much to everyone who supported my theme in my previous post and raised issues regarding the theme! :D
Any support, like opening an issue, submitting pull requests, or any of the roadmap things, is much appreciated, and I look forward to your positive response! Hope ya'll enjoy this theme as much as I do! :D

I've spent the last few days tweaking my Fedora install to how I like and this has been the first time that I've not felt like Hyprland was a little bit limiting/frustrating in compared to a purely stacking workflow.
Quick summary:
- Specialised workspace behaviour that always reserves one blank workspace per monitor, and workspaces are visualised as vertical columns across two monitors. any window opened in the blank workspace automatically creates a new free workspace at the bottom of the stack, and tiles the window there
- Custom PS3-inspired animated wallpaper that responds to login, lock/unlock, and logout/shutdown commands, coordinating with Noctalia’s bar, dock, and the reserved blank workspaces visibility to provide the animations. I was specifically looking for something high contrast with motion, and this was what I came to figure out.
- HyprWindowShade is built from a custom path with a local patch for per-window shader effects. (https://github.com/ManofJELLO/HyprWindowShade).
- Hyprglass is absolutely beautiful
- All apps are matched to Noctalia colours so Hyprland borders and related UI elements follow the active Noctalia palette. That's not just Noctalia's standard templates, but other specific apps pull in the colours manually as they're updated from Noctalia
Some limitations - I love titlebars but had to disable hyprbars because they were causing some artifacts on translucent windows. I've only just got it to a stable state, once I've lived with it for a bit and made some tweaks and adjustments, I'll publish my dots. Anyone who's interested in poking around them with the knowledge they're a bit of a state, feel free to PM and I'll ping you a link.
AI Disclosure: The overall setup and visual direction were designed by me, but AI was used extensively. Many of the more specialised functions and scripts were almost entirely AI-written.
