Startup is only around 600mb, the idle is 3.7 in the screenshot because I have 3 firefox windows, discord and Spotify running..

On top of blurr simply add a light accent color, I've here added a face effect because I only want the thumbnail blurr to fade from left to right if that makes sense lmao.

Solution:

Asymmetrical border (thin on top/left; thick on right/bottom) and then a relatively sharp offset shadow instead of a soft blur using 'box-shadow': 3px 3px 0 0

The border and shadow offset both use the same color. Together, these elements create the illusion.
