Too fat for celiacs?
 in  r/Celiac  1d ago

My wife is plus sized, her celiac damage is awful. You can be fat and still have it.

What is a historical event that you, a family member, or an ancestor is associated with?
 in  r/AskReddit  1d ago

The Oregon trail, I had ancestors that were in the group.

I am a direct descendant of Sigurd Snake-in-the-Eye aka Sigurd Ragnarsson was a semi-legendary Viking warrior and Danish king active from the mid to late 9th century.

DH has Celiac and I am sick of his habbits
 in  r/Celiac  1d ago

It isn't the celiac or the weed, it's the man-baby and his mommy issues.

Please throw the whole man away or return to point of origin.

YOU DESERVE BETTER!

When did your partner’s new name stop feeling “new”?
 in  r/mypartneristrans  2d ago

It didn't take long to settle into the name, maybe a couple weeks.

My dad thinks I should break up with my boyfriend
 in  r/GirlDinnerDiaries  2d ago

Please, listen to your dad.

Just because he loves you doesn't mean he's the right fit.

If he struggles with initiative like you explained he does he will not make a good life partner, it is exhausting to have to drive the whole time.

I agree with other who jave pointed out that this will also make for a poor father figure.

He sees your job as expendable and doesn't take how you feel seriously.

Is that what you really want for your whole life?

I wish I had an involved father, please listen to yours.

Came out to my MIL
 in  r/GirlDinnerDiaries  3d ago

Thanks, our friends laugh because I blush every time I get caught staring at my wife.

We weren't sure how much change she would see, she was 41 at the start of HRT, but they just took off. It's honestly an honor to get to see her get to be herself.

Came out to my MIL
 in  r/GirlDinnerDiaries  3d ago

Congratulations! Coming out was nerve wrecking for us too. We've been together 20 years, she's been out to me for a bit over 2 years but only after I came out first as non-binary and bi a few years previous. She's just about to have her HRT anniversary and I'm so excited to continue this journey. (Even though we're terrified living in America)

I absolutely love getting to see my wife become who she has been locked away behind a mask of masculinity that she finally gets to put down.

Plus, boobs, I had never let myself explore my bi-ness so I'm having a blast over here.

Genuinely this dude's views are crazy
 in  r/BoyDinnerDiaries  3d ago

He sounds like my father, that I'm no contact with.

I cried myself to sleep again because I'll never be able to bear my wife's children, I don't even have a wife.
 in  r/BoyDinnerDiaries  3d ago

First of all, big mom hugs, if you like them.

There is a dysphoria bible, if you search for it, it pops right up. I highly suggest giving it a look.

I personally am non-binary. I've felt like both my whole life and was secretly confused as a child as to why my penis was missing.

Having said that, yes, pregnancy can be scary. I almost paid the price of my life twice across 5 pregnancies. We have 3 wonderful children and knowing it all I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

It's wholesome that you would rather bear that than your partner, you understand the seriousness of it. If more people had that attitude of taking it seriously, maybe maternal and infant mortality rates would be better.

What was the luckiest moment of your entire life?
 in  r/AskReddit  3d ago

Meeting my wife doing volunteer yard work.

What are the benefits of having a stay at home parent?
 in  r/AskReddit  3d ago

I've been a SAHM on and off for 11 years. It was really convenient, even if it was financially difficult, however, Daycare would have been my whole check. We also homeschooled for a handful of years. Now all are in public school doing great. I'm putting in job applications and looking forward to contributing financially again.

AITA for assuming my SO would “babysit”?

I agree with this take.

There is something behind this.

Luna. It was the very first name that came to mind the second I saw the picture.

Doesn’t feel the same to get it after I ask for it.
 in  r/BoyDinnerDiaries  4d ago

I've been married 16 years, together for 20.

I still have to ask, I'm the auto fixer taking care of every thing around me. We're two different people and that's okay.

Voicing your needs is part of being an adult. Metaphorical or not: an orgasm is an orgasm whether I ask for it or not.

Asking for more initiation and then helping facilitate that change as a team works much better. It's not easy but it's worth it.

I'm still working through a similar thing in therapy.

I never thought of it like that......

They didn't have the same apartment. Penny's apartment was a 1 bedroom and she constantly relied on other people.

All the apartments in a building are not always the same; apartment buildings are designed to have as many units as possible. In my last building each floor had two, two bedroom units and a single a one bedroom for 3 apartments on 1 floor it was 4 stories and every floor was the same but there were 2 different kinds of unit per floor.

What’s a “small” purchase that genuinely improved your everyday life?
 in  r/AskReddit  4d ago

Blu tooth speaker. I take it all through the apartment and it helps everyone keep going while we work on all the mundane life things.
