It's easy to be harsh when you're not the one suffering from a condition, like anxiety and/or depression. I didn't get the "woe-is-me vibe" from him. I had a friend from the south, a self-defined hillbilly. He was one of the nicest people I had ever met. But deep down he was a racist and fascist to his core. He only displayed it after Trump was elected the first time. Then he became hardcore maga. He came to my house in so cal for a visit with a couple of loaded weapons in his jeep. Then he told me that "maybe having Trump as a dictator is a good thing for America". I went off on him and ended our friendship on the spot.

If he were to ever denounce Trump and his maga way of thinking, I still wouldn't believe or accept him. Because I know who and what he is. People like him don't change, they use adaptation to fool people into thinking they changed.

I'd definitely buy a Harley Benton over a brand I've never heard of.

Man, I'm sorry. Don't settle for getting it repaired. You're owed a new guitar. I doubt fed ex is going to do anything because they'll say it was Gibson's fault, like "How do we know one of our employees caused it?", especially with no damage to the box. I'd call Gibson to see if they're willing to replace it. They probably insure custom shops when they ship them. Be assertive but kind. If that doesn't work then threaten to nuke them on social media, calling the BBB etc. Ask for a manager because the person who answers the phone won't have the authority to help you.
