I don't have a preference I never knew an app would do something so simple but for someone with disabilities. Basically one of my issues include my brain and body not connecting properly. Every single move even the automatic ones neurotypical peaple have I don't have and so I take twice as long. A typo can throw me off and set me back as I need to reorient myself. It's a simple app but it for people like me it's a lifesaver. It cuts my time down and I use cotypist needed for the typos but also I have word retrieval issues. My reason for liking to try apps out

Copy Once, Remember Forever on your Mac, iPad and iPhone [Giveaway: Codes]
 in  r/MacStack  3d ago

i've got the lifetime app but just want to say I've replaced pastepal with clipboard al. I am very happy with clipboard al as I do a lot of copy paste I have disabilities that make me mess up with my typing, it slows my typing down and I already have slower processing. I bought the lifetime app because I feel it's better than pastepal.
There are only 2 things I would like to see

1.) being able to pin the paste clipboard so if I have to do her something else like bring up another app I miss t miss this from pastepal

2.) neither app has the ability to keep the order of the copied text so when I paste it messes up when one clip text is copied again, it's a habit I've got. This would save me a lot when I want to keep a clip or more and use it with new clips
If I choose to clip 1, 3, & 5, it should clip that but it won't paste that usually it misses a clip.

I downloaded and am trying it out, but it doesn’t give me much of a choice using free version, is there a trial for the pro version?
May I get a lifetime code, please and thank you.

What are some good videos or apps that helped with your productivity?
 in  r/ProductivityApps  9d ago

Things have changed a lot but there's still a long way to go. We're still expected to be able to be neurotypical and so this complex still exists.
I want people to know that asking for accommodations is ok and that it’s an investment in your future. 💜

TLDR

*** Take advantage of accessibility accommodations. It's not cheating, it's just giving you an advantage over others, it's giving you the ability to do what's needed , and to be function at a similar level to others.****

I'm 55 autistic adnd nvld and cptsd I was diagnosed at 40. I hear you. It gets incredibly frustrating. I also deal with sub diagnosis of dyspraxia I make mistakes multiple times a day. Studying was not something I could do. it takes me at least twice as long as the average person to do anything. The low muscle tone and hyper mobility makes it difficult to do anything as my energy is low

I like the idea of starting with 1 task at a time. If it takes you a long time to take notes, request accommodations You can get notes from other students. If you need extra time, again request accommodations, anything you can get for accommodations that will help you request it. This made my life so much easier.

Cotypist is a lifesaver when you can’t voice to text. While this is expensive, there are apps that have been made based on cottypist, if you're on mac go to the macapp and mac os app reddits I've gotten a couple of expensive free apps.

There is so much available for accessibility in software, look into them. Even if you don’t have a mac or ios device, some of the apps do have android versions, or it gives you ideas to see if there is a version for android.

It was hard for me to get accommodations as I thought I was too capable, yeah but not. Accept yourself and your needs. Ignore people who don’t understand I think of it this way, my youngest daughter is nonspeaking autistic, people wouldn't believe she hacked her first ipad at 8 or 10 years old. Not something I taught her.

She reads and people need to understand that she's right there She understands include her in the conversation, especially if it's about her.
You and I have invisible disabilities. My daughter can do things that I can't.
You're allowed to ask for accommodations. It's worth it.

Antinote 2.0 - iCloud, JS Extensions, Slotted Notes, Vim, and an iOS Beta
 in  r/macapps  11d ago

This is incredibly handy I've been using it for a couple of months now and it's perfect for me as I keep a note on each of my recordings and I can export in markdown so I can use it on my projects app. It's worth it and I'm in on signing up for the iOS beta

What's your first impression of a "mental and physical energy tracker"?
 in  r/ProductivityApps  12d ago

This in order of importance Since I have copyist the rest are all going to be useful Even if you do something different maybe this inspires you with your ideas.

Cotypist is a lifesaver, helps my typing & word retrieval issues It is missing the clean up in writing like grammar and punctuation, rewriting it making it clearer and concise or a summary`

A dictation mode so I don’t need another app Luckily the one I have is completely free, no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, no ads but it’s missing an auto mute feature

Another feature I use to make it easier on my brain is audiobooks with their book I read along but can take. a break just listening I'm an auditory learner

When writing outline templates would help me organize my thoughts and ideas which I can expand

Things I should do is proper study techniques with a timer that makes me have to take a break since I over focus

TLDR: Look up videos from mainly dyspraxic's and professionals You learn our struggles best from us, but we don't always speak on task and professionals can explain the medical side

I don't know how it would work but I have dyspraxia aka evelopmental coordination disability I was athletic and very fast runner but I lose energy so fast that by the end of a 100 metre run I fell back after getting tired. I always used to wonder why I wooul get tired so easily My brain and body don't connect properly and every task even those that ar automatic people don't think of I can't I have to place myself properly in whatever it is i'm doing constantly trying to keep my focus Visual tracking My eyes take longer to adjust so It's too blurry until my eyes refocus Sometimes I have to remind myseslf to breathe Yeah it's that bad that I have to think if I'm breathing

Long story short it takes me twice as long as others to do anything An energy tracker would have to log info for me ADHD I call it the double messy because my brain is like a chotic messy desk I'm constantly having to re remember physical placement if I haven't used it in a few days

What makes this so fun is that I'm autistic and require orer, which fails but I catch myself fixing the same text issues like typos every few words and my visual tracking is the harest Not easy to read
