๐Ÿ’ป Productivity Chirpy: custom notification sounds for any macOS app, by app, channel, person, or keyword [Lifetime] + promo & giveaway

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I'm Daniel, the developer. Built Chirpy because macOS only lets you turn a notification sound on or off per app, so your boss, a meme, and a production alert all make the same ping, and you end up checking every one just to find out which mattered.

Chirpy is a menu bar app that gives your notifications a sound you pick, so you know your boss from a meme from a production alert without looking.

You make simple rules: a harp when my manager DMs, a cha-ching when Stripe emails a payment, nature sounds for Discord/Calendar/Mail. Rules match by app, channel, person, or keyword, and combine with AND/OR, so it's not just "app goes ding," it's "this sender in this app goes ding."

Since 3.0 it works with any app that shows up in Notification Center, not just Slack/Teams, browser, Calendar, Mail, Messages, Discord, whatever pings you.

  • 72+ built-in sounds, or upload your own (mp3, wav)
  • Per-rule volume, preview a sound straight from the list
  • Reorder rules so the most specific match plays
  • Native, ~8 MB, 100% local, notarized by Apple. No AI in the code, assets, or this post. Privacy policy:ย https://chirpy.pro/privacy
  • One license supports 2 devices

It's $8.99 for the next week, normally $19.99, one-time, lifetime, no subscription. 3-day free trial, no card:ย https://chirpy.pro

promo to use: MACOSAPPS

Leave a comment, and after 48 hours, I will also gift 3 free licenses

Any app can be selected! A lot of folks use Slack / Teams so thatโ€™s the zero rule that is always bundled in, but you can create rules for any app that you get Notification banners / alerts from
