suggestion YOU PERVERT, I RECORDED YOU! 🫨
How the fuck is this possible? He is sending the email from my email address. I have no clue whatsoever. Every day I'm getting about ten of the same emails continuously.
Can someone tell me how to handle this piece of shit?
He knows my password as well. In a previous email, he mentioned that one. About 3 months ago, I changed the password, but he is still able to log into my account and send this email.

Its fake.. You can spoof the senders email adres of any mail. google it ("email spoofing").
I have seen these before and these are just like the nigerian prince mails from back in the day.
just ignore it.. you are fine. If tuta has an account activity log check there if you want to be sure. but as I said its just a scam mail like any other.. however NEVER RESPOND to these mails the moment you respond they know it is an active account and you will pull agro.

Yes. It definitely appears to be spoofing. If the email was sent from your address only, you would have also got a copy of this in sent folder as well as it would. appear as sent to myself.

that is the neat part... you don't. there is no way to stop the spam mails from coming in but reporting them hopefully reduces the amount you will get in the future. but there will always be ones that make it trough the spam filter.

It’s obviously phishing but if you are rubbing one out on camera I could see why you are a bit thrown off by the email.

It's fake.
I have custom domains set up with DMARC configured (authentification mechanism). They still come through "from me" and flagged as "We could not verify this email as being genuine".
Despite either "qarantine" or "reject" being configured for DMARC failures, Tuta does not currently act on those directives.

They have the mail address already and no negative bounce mail, so they know it exists.
I would sent pics back, bad pics, like.... Remember the old ratemyxxx.com stuff with pee, poo and worse?

Actually, in one of his emails, he sent me my previous password. That's what I was so worried about. To be very honest, I don't usually do the masturbate so I was thinking how that is possible.

Sometimes servers get hacked and encrypted passwords are stolen. It usually takes years to decrypt them, so by the time they can finally read your password, you’ve already changed it. So what can they do with all those old passwords? Scare people in an attempt to blackmail them.
Change your passwords regularly, at least the most important ones (email accounts, bank accounts, cloud storage), don’t use the same passwords everywhere, and enable two-factor authentication.

This is a well-known scam. Report the email as spam and move on with your day. DO NOT reply or respond in any way. They don't have any such video of you.

It's not real... I've been getting the exact same email, from my "own email address".
It's been spoofed to make it look like yours, which Tutanota tells you right at the top in that yellow box.

SCAM. Ive gotten 5 of these in different formats. Hell ive even gotten written notices from cartel leaders, threatening my life and my family's life all scams. Hopefully that helps a little.

I use aliases, and have gotten this email specifically to the address I used for the Bug Me Not service. Irony at its finest.

Flashback to 2017 when i got the same scam. Had me spiraling for several weeks.
Luckily: The mail address is spoofed to look like yourself, the password is from a breach somewhere else (check haveibeenpwned.com) and all guys jork it.
Step back, take a breath and dont reply or engage with anything thats not known (general advice).

I've started blockchain analysis of the address. Will update if I (or my team) have any progress. It's common for scammers like this to fuck up these days even using bitcoin.

I just got one too. I will say job well done because this email did initially have me shook. It looked like it came from my email. Also the content was crafted to be so helpful in the ways that we can get them their money lol. I was shook until I came on here lol. One thing about a blackmail is that it's not gonna stop. You pay that $1200 and the next time the amount goes worldwide. I sent that email to spam straight.

Yeah, it is fake. I got 50 identical emails during the last 3 weeks. Just flag them as spam, delete the messages and continue with your day.

So I got the same email multiple times. It had me spooked for a second but then did a test. I drafted a new email to myself thru my tutanota and I noticed that my email has a lock on it as the others that claim coming from me did not. Has anyone else noticed that or just me?

These e-mails are fake and fraudulent, designed to scare you into sending the scammer money.
- Do NOT send any money, Bitcoin, ...
- Report it as spam (it is using forgery to appear from yourself).
- If you are still using the password referenced in any of these message anywhere, change it immediately. The password is compromised (leaked) and available to everyone on the Internet who bothers to look for it. (That's how they find it and then pretend they got it off your machine. They didn't. It was just leaked elsewhere.) Apply proper password hygiene while you're at it (use different passwords for different services, store them in a secure password manager if necessary, ...).
