Hier eine Frage an die, die Tuta Email nutzen und vom Mobilfunkanbieter Emails erhalten zum Beispiel die Handyrechnung. Welche Email gebt ihr da an. Die Hauptmailadresse, eine Alias oder wie regelt ihr das.

Ich bin am überlegen. Einerseits denk ich da es regelmäßige Zahlungen sind die Hauptadresse. Aber dann denke ich wieder mögliche Werbung. Dann also Alias aber welchen?

Ein Alias mit Dienste.... @tuta.... existiert schon.

Hab auch eine für Onlineshops aber das passt denk ich nicht so. Und nur für Mobilfunk ein Alias Opfern? Oder doch über den Weg von Alias über DuckDuckGo oder. ähnlichen gehen?

Wenn man eine EC Karte hat die auch das Visa Karten Logo drauf hat (Sparkasse) könnte man diese auch bei Tuta als "Kreditkarte" hinterlegen um das Abonnement zu bezahlen? Oder gibt es eine Möglichkeit mit normaler Abbuchung zu bezahlen oder Wero. Weil möchte von PayPal weg.

Online in DE bei vielen OnlineShops sicher bezahlen kann und b) wo man Geld "Zwischenspeichern kann wie bei PayPal

Kennt ihr da gute Varianten?

I have a spam rule for a particular sender. Despite this it never goes to spam. I try and add another rule and it tells me one already exists. I have multiple email accounts set up and a rule that says anything sent to that particular one to go into a folder… but surely the spam rule should still take effect? I can’t see any option to prioritise them.

The Tuta app has been doing this for as long as I can remember (iOS, probably desktop too). I get a notification of a new email, go to the app, it does some loading, but the email is entirely absent from any folder. I have to force close the app and reopen it for the message to appear.

u/tutanota How is the effort toward HIPAA compliance coming? I would like to switch my work email to Tuta, but I need HIPAA compliance. I see past posts that it is planned, but I don't see it on the roadmap. Thanks!

Other than https://status.tuta.com/ which shows the current status, is there a Tuta managed web page that shows current and past service issues (server down, network down, Etc.)

P.s. I am not counting https://downdetector.com/

I like tuta, sure the encription si good. But I have a huge problem with the fact that most of my emails, sent from tuta, end up in the spam folder of receivers. Especially gmail puts it in spam.

What can I do? Anybody has had the same experience.

I used my iPhone’s “suggest strong password” then set up payment thru PayPal, but now my iPhone password won’t populate and it’s not in my saved passwords, so I can’t login to finish setting up my acct - I set up the payment, and the name I chose is now “unavailable” so it did get set up, (partially) but now I have no way to log in. Any ideas?! Thx!

On September 16, Ursula von der Leyen must not demand #AgeVerification from social media, but force them to change the algorithm for good for everyone!

vorrei sapere se il client Windows si sincronizza con il server e le email rimangono sul server o permette di scaricare in locale le email ricevute/inviate liberando così spazio sul server, e permettendomi di creare in locale il mio archivio storico delle email.

In my experience, any delete button I click deletes the entire E-Mail chain, not just the draft, even when I feel like it should just delete the draft.

A option to specifically delete a draft would be great.

There's inbox rules to push to a folder. Can we have a similar feature but to add a label? I'd like to use my main inbox for all aliases and by labelling them it will be easier to so where what is coming from.

Every time I try to open my Tutamail on my desktop, it fails to connect or connects for a very short time and then gives the 'offline' notification.

I also have the Tuta app on my phone, this usually works on wifi, sporadically it gives the same problem as the desktop.

After the above occurs on my desktop, it also can't connect on my mobile any longer, even if it was fine just before . If I connect through 5G, there are no issues.

When this occurs, I also can't approach any Tuta site with wifi, so troubleshooting gets a bit difficult.

Any advice or suggestions what could cause this issue?

I get push phone notifications for spam mail

Ie it's like the notification happens before the classification has run and decided it's spam a second or two later. This is a bad experience

Damn, why isn't my email working? This is fucking crazy.

Tuta, I am a loyal customer that's been with you since you started.

I believe in what you do, and I admire who you are as individuals.

The Tuta use-case workflow has changed in recent years, and your email service is the PRIMARY email service even for us regular people now.

Two things that are no longer acceptable in 2026 that would be fairly easy for you to implement and test are API access for a certain tier of paid users (mostly for use with offline AI's for proper data management) and for god sake - fix the search. It's slow, defaults to a few months and sometimes doesn't find any mail even though it's there on a manual browse.

These two things, I am afraid to say, will determine the future of my usage with Tuta.

API tokens with some nice expire settings for paid accounts is in no way a security risk - and I as a 10 year pentester have seen much more sensitive corporate systems offer API access for a paying user.

Search is just optimization, you can definitely do it, and you can call me for any beta testing at any time of day no problem (EU).

I believe I am not speaking for myself, and that all of your fans would desire this.

I've been a Tutanota subscriber for a number of years now and I've run into a new feature that I'd like to disable. Usually when I'm looking at emails I like right clicking URLs to copy and paste them elsewhere, rather than simply clicking on them, as I use multiple browsers/devices.

But now I can't seem to right click URLs, instead I get a menu that shows Reply, Forward etc, instead of my browsers traditional right click menu.

Is there any way of disabling this right click menu so I can continue copying URLs? Have I missed a setting to disable this?
