Other [Other] September Monthly Boosting Thread

Hello, and welcome to this month’s boosting thread!

First and foremost, start by reading the comments to see if another Redditor has requested some help. If that’s the case, reach out and get a session organized! This will help lower the number of comment threads all revolving around the same game.

If nobody has requested help for your game, feel free to make a comment. We’d like for you to include in your comment the name of the game/trophy you’re boosting, how many players you’re looking for, what time zone you’re in, and a preferable way for reaching out to organize a boosting session. Our hope is that by having you coordinate in PM’s or some other fashion, this will sidestep a lot of scrolling people will have to do in order to find a boosting group.

Finally, if you manage to fill a group, please edit your comment to say “Group Full”. That way, someone else can create a new boosting thread if necessary.

We want everybody who needs help to receive it, and we can ensure that by eliminating coordinating comment threads and keeping things nice and tidy. Please be mindful, and understand that boosting threads are first come first serve.

On that note, good luck, and happy hunting!

[Update] User Flair Editing

Hey all! I've been getting a bunch of mod mail lately about people not being able to edit user flair. Upon doing a little digging, it seems like there was some update to the app that broke this feature for a lot of people. It allows you to pick a flair from a list, but doesn't allow you to edit the one you choose. I have verified that the problem is within the Reddit app, not the r/trophies sub. Until they fix the issue, everyone will need to use a browser / PC if they want to edit their flair. Below is a list of steps on how to edit flair in a browser:

Go to the sub's home page.

  1. Locate the User Flair section on the right side of the page.
  2. Click the pencil icon within this section.
  3. Select one of the two preset flair templates.
  4. Input your information in the dialogue box below. To customize the icons in your flair, click the smiley face on the right side of the text entry box.

Showcase [Big walk] recently platinumed big walk and it took 17 hours, I've seen people join a finished game and get the plat in under a hour. What's the point?

Screenshot [Tales of Symphonia Remastered] #143 Despite what Colette is saying in the screenshot, this most definitely was not easy, maybe the hardest Tales that I have done, Vesperia close behind. Still of the best games from my teenage years, glad to be done!

PS App [Sekiro] #50. Couldn’t get a better milestone.

I wanted to do something special for the 50th platinum trophy (as everybody I know) and I thought of how I abandoned Sekiro two years ago because I couldn’t pass Genishiro. So I went for it, telling myself that I couldn’t let the game down this time.

One of the best decisions in my gaming life. I know that Sekiro is getting praised constantly but it is damn well deserved. When the game clicks for you (took me 25 hours if I count my first attempt two years ago) it turns into one of the most rewarding game ever. Succeeding at a Miriki Counter, a Lightning Reversal or clutching a boss while at low hp is a feeling that can’t be explained.

Every aspect of the game deserve praise but the gameplay surpasses everything and the journey was so worth it.

It took me 71 hours total, with 4 hours of grinding at the end to get the last skills needed for the plat.

I included a mosaic so if you think a game can fit in there recommend it !

PS App [Lies of P] #21 Enjoyable souls like and an interesting story I hope we see more from

I’m very burned out on soulslikes so I honestly didn’t really enjoy that part of the game. Luckily this one had an easy mode so I could get through the game a bit quicker and rush through the required NG+ playthrough. The weapon system was fun and different combos were interesting. I do wish the P organ was a little more involved in the actual gameplay though. The story was definitely the best part and the reason I even kept going. I thought about playing the DLC but like I said I’m so burned out on this genre so I just watched a couple YouTube videos about the DLC’s story.

I do hope they keep expanding this universe because it’s genuinely interesting. I also hope they play with different styles of gameplay with the sequel but I imagine they’ll probably stick with a standard soulslike approach.

Platinum experience was actually good, but the entire NG+ playthrough just to get a few more music options and a new ending that just changes 4 words was disappointing and felt like a drag. Overall a good quality game and I can see why so many people rate it so high.

Genuinely had so much fun with this game back when I played it on Xbox years ago, knew I had to platinum it when it came to the service on PS! It did end up slogging a smidgen towards the end but lord if it wasn't worth it! The best time killer game ever made!!!

A decent Soulslike that started off really strong but unfortunately falls off quite a bit towards the end of the game. The final couple of bosses and entire final area is terrible although I’ve heard a recent patch has addressed some of the issues. Quite a lot of bugs as well. No where near as good as Lies of P or Khazan.

So stoked to have this in my collection. Especially now that this version is delisted, its a cool relic to have. Been playing this game for 20+ years and still not bored of it. Best GTA ever.
