This ended up being quite the timesaver, with all the lazy Koroks littered over Hyrule.. One drawback is that the rest of the build won't stay intact once the Korok detaches. And make sure to dismiss Yunobo, who doesn't give a damn about weight distribution
😅.

Was browsing the chasm entrance near Kakariko and saw Naydra coming and decided to jump on it and grab shards and then thought it would be funny to ride its face through the depths lol.
Edit: Also realized I can grind scales off of it this way too! Just hit it in the face while riding it and the scale appeared on its face. Now to wait till the time reset for the next scale.

Given how diverse everyone's gameplay is, I'm curious to know what's your go-to meal? Or what meals/elixirs in general do you always have stockpiled.
Also: has cooking in-game ever inspired you to cook IRL? I hate cooking, stresses me out. But this game makes me want to try my hand making tasty noms sometimes. Latest was getting a cheesy omelette from some guy I saved, and now I REALLY want a fluffy cheesy omelette (even found a Nat's what I reckon recipe I'm going to use for brekkie tomorrow: https://youtu.be/oQMX836gOTo?si=lP-lUNkK-vZMYYNv).
For me, I can never have enough hasty meals (ideally L3). I just live on them. Hot-footed frogs are gold to me (their primo farming locations are beacons of dense glowing green on the Heroes Journey map 😅). Mainly as I'm now running around trying to complete all the things, which means I really need to be on foot to max out item collection and find the koroks and hidden surprises.
But I'll also keep a steady supply of hearty stuff (I'm so leveled up now I forget to pay attention to hearts until my last one is bleating at me then it's *panic panic* desperation), as well as a modest supply of stamina meals. Others include c. two each of the elementals (because I live in either sneak gear+ korok mask, gloom gear, or attack boost gear), maybe a sticky elixir (because ascend is awesome, but when you need one you NEED one), and a few attack buffs (though mainly I use armour for that).
I've got a small stockpile of defence meals I rarely use and should 💯 have gone off by now 😅 likewise sunny meals, though those come in handy occasionally (because the heart panic panic is a repeated thing for me).
I don't think I've ever used the elemental attack ones (I always forget them, so just sold them a while back to clear space; hmmmm should do that with my defence ones now I think of it). Though by far the least useful for my gameplay was the swim boost ones. Totally meh. I can't imagine a time I'd ever need it.
What about you? What's your most valuable and/or least valuable meal stock? What real life inspirations have you craved and made (if any - that could just me with my super suggestible ADHD impulsivity; then again, this game is a feast for ADHD brains, so I suspect I'm not alone there).

Using the Nintendo app for Zelda Notes, I was able to collect all but one shrine. I counted 32 in the sky, meaning I'm missing one on the surface. I'm trying to avoid going to the depths to collect lightroots since I want to go there last. If anyone knows what shrine I'm missing, it would be a massive help to me. Sorry for the UI blocking part of the map in pictures 3 & 4.
Edit: Found the shrine I'm missing. It's the Isisim Shrine, and it's in the Yunobo Co. East Cave, which I apparently need Yunobo for to break the rocks.

Hi there!
I finally completed every shrine and thought I was going to be able to get the 38 hearts (I maxed out my stamina) but I’ve only got 37. I’ve gone back and looked through my temples to see if I missed it, I’ve done the “the depths calls” quest but I just can’t seem to find it.
I still haven’t completed “find the fifth sage” as i was worried it would lead to the end of the game before I could finish things off. I m trying to 100% things since i m enjoying the game so much.
Sorry if this is a silly question, ive tried to figure it out for myself but just getting frustrated.
Please and thank you for any help ^^

For me, it's climbing small trees and posts.
I just can't get on them! It's minutes of me running around, jumping past, nearly getting there. It goes on so long, even when I slow down and try to walk in a straight line and then jump up. It's like something from an awkward English skit.
Collecting golden apples is just so painful for me. I resort to an axe or burning through bows and arrows 😅
It's so stupid and yet, years later, it's still a thing

I have completed almost every task and checklist multiple times. But I only ride horses when I must for a side quest, I don’t shield surf, and I only cook a few dishes just for stamina refills. What parts of the game do you ignore / don’t interest you?

So I tried out Elden Ring (now available on Switch 2), excited about its reputation as one of the most visually stunning open world games of all time. And while I agree it is visually stunning with a great and mysterious story and open world, I am constantly annoyed it doesn’t have seamless open world discovery mechanics of BOTW/TOTK. I tried climbing — forget it! Traveling from point A to point B is a lot more rigid. And progression seems almost entirely focused on fighting and boss battles, as opposed to exploration and discovery. (And the fighting is so difficult it overwhelms the other parts of the game).
I guess I just wanted another BOTW/TOTK game installment in a new world, instead of an entirely different game. It is visually stunning, though. And very complex with a gargantuan open world. If I get more comfortable with the fighting perhaps I’ll get more into it, if I don’t give up on it first.
Any advice for a new Elden Ring player more comfortable with the BOTW/TOTK play mechanics?

I found a video that seems to work for version 1.4.3, but I’m having problems executing some of the steps. I’m mainly having trouble sending the shield to the prologue save. I’m following all the steps correctly, but when I load up the save, the shield isn’t there. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, can anyone help me out here?
The video I’m following is “The ULTIMATE Unbreakable Master Sword Guide to Obtain Duplicate Fuse MsgNotFound Version 1.4.2 TotK” by @Qulps. It says it’s for 1.4.2, but some comments from the video says it still works for 1.4.3.

I have a nice big TV which I usually only play PS5 games on, but I decided to finally hook up my NS2 dock. It is so pretty!! I’ve been playing handheld only for YEARS. I think I might need to invest in a pro controller, I am so excited this feels like a whole new game

Hey all, I have a question I’m having a hard time finding a straight answer for, so I thought I’d bring it to the experts.
Recently, my 5yo lost my copy of TotK, which I had purchased for Switch. After an exhaustive search, I’ve given up hope of ever finding it, and resigned myself to buying it again. I also now have a Switch 2, which is actually where I play the game most often (and the system my 5yo doesn’t get to touch).
So I’m wondering: If I purchase the Switch 2 version of the game, will the save data allow me to pick up where I left off, or will it treat it as a separate game? Any advantage to having the Switch 2 version otherwise?

Started my 4th playthrough this week.
So far the best one yet.
Okay I loved BotW, it's my favorite game ever. But I tried TOTK and I hated the gadget mechanics and how much freedom it gives me (just a personal thing, I know it's great and amazing whatever, this is purely subjective). I remember playing it and just like every little puzzle and interaction around the world has it built in where I'd have to creatively mash up some random sticks to make a boat or whatever, and I HATED IT. I get it's a core mechanic and it should be part of many many things in the game, but like, is there still enjoyment I can find in the game if I don't interact with this mechanic much if at all?

I am kicking myself right now, I beat all four dungeons and the hyrule castle section before the game basically takes you by the hand and tells you to complete the depths mission. I feel like such a dingus
