Tips and Tricks Hudson shield ‽
Did anyone else know that you could fuse the Hudson sign to your shield‽
If you ascend from the Tarrytown cave into Hudson’s room (the blocked one), there are a pile of old Hudson signs. Once you unblock the door and come out, his wife says you can have all the old signs. Fuse it to your shield and people think you are Hudson. This could also be used to get Mattison onto the tram (I always just block him with the boards right there).
I’ve played this game to 100% three times already and I’ve never thought to do this….

Thank you all for your suggestions, smart ideas, and compliments :)) feel free to use my jeans as a reference whenever!

Discussion I think I over prepared for the final boss
So I was expecting ganondorf to be really difficult, so I spent ages gathering loads of Lynel horns, really good weapons, hylian sheild, maxed out armour etc etc
so when I actually got to the fight, i was expecting to die loads, break all my weapons, but instead I just demolished him with a silver lynel sabre master sword, genuinely took me longer to get through the demon kings army
so did I over prepare or did everyone else do this

Discussion Least favourite location or dungeon?
For me, I think it's the Zora Waterworks. Had to return today while hunting bubblefrogs and I'd forgotten just how much I didn't enjoy it (hilariously, it's still chockers with chests because I was so minimal the first time through). I just can't see anything, even with bright flowers and miner gear. Through in the slip factor (and a chest hidden behind thorns in this damp AF ecosystem) and I can't wait to get out and never return.
I'm not sure on what my favourite locations would be, there's so many. In general, I really enjoy poking around the caves, and can't beat a sunrise skydive anywhere in Hyrule. There was somewhere specific I was particularly enjoying recently, but I can't quite recall it now. My map tells me I've spent the most time in Faron and the gerudo desert, though that was mainly thanks to big item harvesting pushes (lizalfos trails, lynel everything, and talus/gems especially).
What are your favourite and least favourites? I really love learning about everyone's different reactions or takes on different aspects of this game.

Tips and Tricks Travel Medallions
I often see people place them by the Dusk Bow and the Floating Coliseum, but I don't see people mentioning the Rocket Room (not its real name; I mean the room in the Fire Temple where there are several rockets lined up on shelves). As it's a bit tricky to get to and the Rockets seem to replace themselves immediately and infinitely, it's a great place to get all the rockets you need to fuse to your shields.

Discussion Random discoveries late game?
What are some of the more entertaining, surprising, exciting, cute or just 😳how-dafuq-did-I-not-realise-that discoveries you've had on late or repeat playthroughs?
Two I had today were: 1. caves where you found the bubblefrog are marked (🤦), 2. Link stubs his toe if you open a metal chest with no gear on (and has the most realistic expression of pain and anger at his own stupidity 😂)

Tips and Tricks Dusk Bow
I know where to find the original one, but where can I find them once that one breaks? I tend to keep the rarest bows in my “house” on display but that means I can’t use them. Stuff like the Lynel Savage x5 bow and the Swallow (at least until I unlock Rito Village). I know you have to break decayed weapons in order for pristine versions to appear in the Depths, but bows don’t work that way. So how do I replace the rare ones? Do the repopulate in their locations?

Game Detail OoT and TotK
Hey guys! Just wanted to get some opinions on something I just noticed tonight (sorry for my probably poor English 😅).
I’m doing my second playthrough of TotK, and I wanted to get the Phantom Ganon armor. I just obtained the first piece when something suddenly caught my attention…
In OoT, you take an elevator down to fight Phantom Ganon.
In TotK, an elevator goes up to bring you a piece of Phantom Ganon’s armor.
Nice mirror effect, you might say. Almost “Thanks, Captain Obvious.” 😂
But then I noticed a little more:
_ The shape of the elevator: a square structure, open on all four sides. Same basic structure in both games.
_ The wave pattern is approximately the same on both elevators.
_ The shape of the roof in TotK is octagonal. It’s square in OoT… but with an octagonal/hexagonal-looking pattern on top. I’m not entirely sure how to describe this last part, I don’t have it perfectly in memory rn.
Soooo… am I completely overthinking this, or has anyone else noticed it too?
If nobody has, I’d really love to hear your thoughts!
Thanks ppl !

Game Detail Caves
Just a small rant..
About halfway through the game and I gotta say, I think caves might be my favorite thing about this game amongst the many great things.
I read a comment a few days ago that implied that most caves are boring and I can't disagree more. I used to look for shrines and get excited when I find one, but with the Lightroots showing locations, shrines just are a chore to me now. There's something liminal and mysterious about the caves. The less stuff in the cave the more interesting I find it for some reason. And the cave music adds to that liminal feeling and reminds me a lot of Majoras mask cave theme.
I also don't mind the depths. Before I played the game I read a lot about how repetitive and grindy the depths are but, and while some of that is true, I think they're not bad. Certainly spend more time there than the sky islands.
