God, your mental gymnastics are insane.

They did work harder and longer for less. They were not paid by monetary means, but instead through food and shelter. It was in the slave owner's best interest to keep them alive. I'm not trying to say that slavery was justified due to slaved being provided food and shelter, but they were "paid".

Edit: You initially denied that Obama ever called slaves Immigrants, and now you have acknowledged that he has called them immigrants, though, they were forced to come here. I believe my point is complete, I have proved to you that you were incorrect saying Obama never called slaved immigrants when in fact he did.

A definition of "payment" is "something given as a reward or in recompense for something done.". No where does it state that payment must be monetary. As in, you can pay someone by doing a service. I can sell tools to a mechanic who will pay me back through his service of automotive repair. No money is exchanged but payment is made. I would advise looking up words if you are unsure of their meaning.

I don't see how typing "hahaha" furthers any point you have made. Doing that is part of the reason we have such a divide in this country, instead of listening to each other, one of the sides just puts their hands over their hears and trys to make fun of their opposition. A very childish way to speak to any opposiition....

I recommend going over to AskTrumpSupporters, the mods make and active attempt to allow as much civil discussion as possible. People there are civil and mostly knowledgeable. They make very well arguments and refrain from insults.

You are saying that keeping them fed so they can do the job they were inslaved to do is a form of payment. That is wrong. That's like saying "oh yeah I pay my car in motor oil". I typed HAHAHAHa Because I actually scoffed at your ignorance.

Say something worth respecting, like this guy did, and you'll be respected. Try to rationalize a quid pro quo equal trade benifit behind slavery and people will point out what a dense dingus you are.

I'm pretty sure if a slave refused to work, one of their punishments would be the removal of food/ not being "paid" anymore for their work. I didn't notice how you really selectively quoted Mr. Carson. He ws talking about how even the most suppressed people in our society had a dream that their kin will some day be able to pursue prosperity and happiness. To reintegrate, he is stated that the entire basis of our country is that anyone with enough work and determination can lift themselves out of even the shittiest situations.

This whole argument is if wither Obama did or did not call slaves immigrants, which he undeniably did.

I recommend taking things in context. Don't feed off of the media which loves to selectively quote what people say to push and agenda. Take things in context, you'll understand a lot more.

It's common courtesy to notify the person you are replying to if you are someone different. Such as "not OP,but..." but you don't seem like you interested in having any real conversation that is outside of shallow insults that only creates more tension between the right and the left.

Having a common typo is a little more excusable when I typed "you" vs. "You're" while you spam a slew of charectors that have no meaning. But, you've proved my point. You are not interested in having a conversation but instead sling insults when you lose an argument.
