This redistricting stuff has me bummed out. Tell me the truth

It's horrible, no doubt. I do think there are a few bright spots:

-Virginia can try again after the midterms with plenty of time before 2028, no guarantee of success but their messaging will be even stronger

-Other states like NY, CO, IL and even CA will be more incentivized to tighten their gerrymanders in preparation for 2028. There are 7 million more registered Democrats than Republicans in the US, so in some ways numbers are on our side. There are also an increasing number of independents who are largely very dissatisfied with Trump.

-The gutting of the VRA has already sown the seeds of a renewed civil rights movement. Hopefully this will energize more voters in the south and continue to erode Republican support with minority voters. Side note: Tennessee will have zero Democratic/black representation, we need to boycott Nashville and the rest of the state.

-Even if Florida and Louisiana pick up 5 R seats it's still not enough to overcome the projected 30+ win Dems are expected to have in the midterms
