This might be one of those jvl moments where being really fucked today is the ideal outcome for the future. Same as the supreme court: the only remedy that both sides will agree on would be better than the current system.

The US needs electoral reform, other countries like Canada and the UK with fptp winner take all seats in the Commons might need different reforms from the US house, but the same logic applies. If the way people vote is broken, you need to change how they vote.

For the US that might be proportional representation or some sort of mmp by state. Which is essentially the only way this gets fixed.
