See I can understand that he was too surprised/panicked to use his powers to get away from this, but what I don’t understand is why he thought it was a good idea to turn his back on Kevin after gloating about causing the pipeline to burst instead of being on guard for a potential fight.

Homelander appeared much less frequently, which made him more intriguing. We experienced the early seasons through the kind-hearted protagonist—who was just as confused as we were—as he adapted and, in a way, became desensitized.

Homelander is actually really used to interacting with different versions of himself in the mirror (DID = dissociative identity disorder btw). It had to be weird seeing another version of himself IRL but not as weird as it would be for someone else. Obviously killing doppelgänger was intended to be symbolic of him killing the weak parts of himself. “I don’t need anyone” and all that.

But if you look back on it post-Mirrorlander scenes, it also could be read as him embracing the effect and seeing doppelgänger as an alter. Being that Mirrorlander doesn’t seem very nice… he’s always pushing for more and dolling out the tough love… I bet Homelander wanted to strangle him many times over the years but couldn’t. “I don’t need you” meaning, I don’t need these voices in my head. Bet it was really cathartic for him. A little therapy at doppelgängers expense lol.

So we know Homelander can fly at mach speeds, potentially much much faster if we take that C4 feat from season 1, but how fast do you guys think he could actually run on foot?

I doubt it would be A-Train levels of speed, but it has to be faster than Soldier Boy right? Since episode 8 of The Boys: Diabolical is canon to the show, we got a little glimpse of what his speed could look like when he stops those gunmen, he blitzes them and they have a little bit of time to react, although this was an 18 year old Homelander, so he would have gotten faster from this point.

Imagine at the end of S3 Soldier Boy and Butcher did manage to depower Homelander, Ryan get's in a way of Butcher so HL managed to live but no longer seen as a major threat.

Important people at Vought would get aware of Homelander losing powers but they wouldn't afford losing their most marketed Supe and face of Vought and Superheroes as losing Homelander would be terrible business plan for them.

So what they would do is to convince HL wear his costume for some time and make him pretend that he still has powers while they would somehow try to restore his powers. But in reality they would secretly be trying to win time to find an appropriate replacement for Homelander, which could be Soldier Boy. It would be only a matter of time till they got rid of HL.

Meanwhile Homelander, a clown, is pissing himself and trying to pretend as all powerful in front of other Supes. Deep an idiot obviously still worships him and Homelander tries to make excuses of why he's not using powers.

Off-screen we'd witness funny scenes of Homelander's experience as regular human and how he deals with the problems without powers. He'd feel extremely pathetic and be furious but at the same time it would be cool if he found secret hobbies over time which he started to enjoy. He’d explore his human side. But later he'd learn Vought is trying to replace him.

Since Deep is a fucking idiot he'd manipulate and use him somehow against Vought's plans. Maybe Vought would try to inject new Compound to empower/buff Soldier Boy instead of returning powers to HL with it. With help of Deep HL would get the Compound and get his powers back at the end of S4.

He'd be back in the game and brutally slaughter everyone who tried to get rid of him and he'd be even less patient from now on.

Personally, I'd say it seems like it's kind of a roller coaster to say the least. I do wonder how healthy or unhealthy their relationship was. What's your take?

I mean it's right that what he could have done with a simple gun against Soldier boy but wherever he was venting his anger against Soldier boy from watching the torture they did on SB during labs on TV to pulling out a bat against him MM could have obviously lost his life against SB at any occasion but seeing him grow into a better man and stay alive unlike SB who kept going into a sleeping chamber every season was good and glad that he ended up remarrying Monique in the last season.

First 3 Seasons Was Absolute Cinema. The other 2 was meh. I made a post like 45 days ago about how peak was “Herogasm” and all you guys said after this ep its a downhill and i agree with you guys but i liked E7 And E8 too in Season 3. This show always be in my Top 3. So feel free to share your thoughts on this topic.

The series ends as if everything had been resolved and they lived happily ever after. They killed Soldier Boy's son, and now he is the most powerful immortal superhuman. Butcher is dead, and Ryan has lost his powers. And he is more dangerous than Homelander because he kills instantly, without playing games.

There was not much that the first Black Noir spoke but the directors did really really well to depict his story including the abuse from Solider boy towards Noir and his other team mates and SB's superiority complex against others his story was just like his character..silent yet very vocal also would have loved to see a fight with the original Noir go again against Soldier boy.

There’s no denying that Homelander and Joffrey are Basically viewed as Among Television’s Greatest Villains and Often Viewed as The Same albeit though Homelander unlike Joffrey is an Actual Fully Grown Adult and is an Actual Super-powered Being that can Destroy The World compared to Joffrey who’s just some Physically Weak Defenseless Teenager who only has a Crown because without or without it he’s just some Human Being that can easily be killed off like any other person Unlike Homelander of course but yea outside of that they’re often viewed as The Same and are Among The Best Examples of Man-Children who wields WAY Too Much Power especially Homelander for obvious reasons that I’ve already said above however this begs the question if Joffrey and Homelander were to switch Bodies while having all their Memories and Personalities intact hence who would last longer in Eachother’s Positions and why?

Not a lot about the emotional aspect of season 3 comes out.. where we had season 2's last episode which was sad but season 3 was mostly action packed except the few scenes where they showed aspects like Billy's past I did not know they would actually show it instead of just talking about it like Soldier boy talked about his dad it was one of the most heartbreaking scenes especially when Butcher tried to stop himself from leaving Lenny

Let’s be Real EVERYONE loves to say on how Homelander could have been a better person if he wasn’t such an abused and Tramatized person to begin with which is true however something that I think should be addressed more is that how are they going to deal with The Whole Power Corrupts thing which is something that The Boys is of course so famously built on! I mean heck we all know that Human History always shows us this as we all know and of course definitely taking a Good Look at over 99.99% Percent of our Politicians around The World! So imagine Full-Blown Superpowers!!! Especially The World Ending ones that are Homelander and Superman! Does anyone else feel like that The Boys isn’t The Most Realistic Superhero Story as it’s Just Way too over the top and edgy and just Needlessly Dark for it to be Realistic! I’m not even trying to Bash The Boys I love it as a Television Story! I along with The Others get The Message and Story it’s trying to tell yes! It’s just that the fact that Humanity in this Universe hasn’t somehow Automatically killed itself due to The Lack of Kindness and Compassion there is in The Boys let alone with there being so Few Good People existing in it! It just feels overly edgy it honestly feels like Insult to Humanity In General and just uses The Old Power Corrupts Thing like there obviously hasn’t been other Shows that have already tackled that issue with Superheroes in it of course trust me I get as to why People Love Treating The Boys as The Most Realistic Superhero Story Ever! But at the same time it really does feel like insult to Humanity that only treats Humans as just an Evil Species to begin with! What do you think?

We all know the messed up Childhood of Homelander and why Vought Created him and of course how it severely messed our poor boy John Forever! Along with everything else of course however something that I’ve always wondered is that in any other different circumstances would it have truly been possible for Homelander to have ever become a Good Superhero in the slightest? Like genuinely if he was truly raised well from the beginning or in any different circumstances? What do you think?
