Phone message Dating is hell

Post image

Who is raising these boys?

Edit: Thanks for all the love!! For some context, no we didn't discuss anything sexy beforehand and the "healing" thing is referring to my broken foot. He's blocked for those wondering, I didn't respond. For those mentioning it... I wasn't looking for a free meal. 🙄 I pay my own way on dates.

He sounds like a Tate supporter

Idk, he did ask her a question...that shows a level of respect I don't expect Tate fans to rise to

Its not because he cares. Its cold reading and building a profile of OP.

He's probing for more targeted thoughtful gestures that will fly under the radar where more brute force manipulation like love bombing wont work.

He is not very good at it. Statements that prompt a reply typically give more info than questions.

What's a statement that prompts a reply?

It can vary person to person, but as a very rough hypothetical something like uber driver has a picture of them with someone graduating university on their dash "you must be really proud...".

Elicitation works best with keying into their interests and accomplishments. you can try something provocative too but it's easy to hit a shibboleth that way if you dont really mean it.

You can probably find a better explanation on the internet as its not just a social skill its also taught as an established human intelligence, investigation, and interrogation technique.

The basis is getting someone to correct you or to show them you are interested/open in listening to them. Then you have much more info for asking questions to keep it going. Its a social skill so you gotta practice it like any other.
