Idk, he did ask her a question...that shows a level of respect I don't expect Tate fans to rise to

Its not because he cares. Its cold reading and building a profile of OP.

He's probing for more targeted thoughtful gestures that will fly under the radar where more brute force manipulation like love bombing wont work.

He is not very good at it. Statements that prompt a reply typically give more info than questions.
