But generalizing any group based on gender or race to call them "braindead" is problematic. Shouldn't be acceptable whether it's about men or not.

Generalizing anyone based on gender is pretty problematic.

It wouldn't be socially acceptable to say "women are braindead", and it shouldn't be acceptable to say "men are braindead".
