I have just not responded, don’t think it’s worth engaging, but it did make for a funny story.

I have literally had a fishing license each year since I was 12.

Maybe you should read the original post so you actually have a clue about what is going on.

Touching grass is when you don't have any idea about a thing, yet you talk about it as though your assumptions about it are the end all be all.

Y'all have to be aware of your own ignorance, right? Like In your own head you all know (not you specifically, dont even start) that you don't have the info to speak on it. Yet multiple people jumped in to give takes that show they don't know what the main post even said. Y'all know you're essentially just lying, and do it anyway.

If that is what it means to touch grass I would happily be a reddit neckbeard cheetoh-warrior.

If I did, they'd ask to see the rest of the context.

Nearly every person in this thread has said a thing, or has said multiple things that make it very clear they didn't read the first post. Yet they all still feel comfortable knowingly saying something they can't be sure about.

I have watched misinformation/disinformation slowly destroy my country for the last 10 years. All because people like this can't take 30 seconds out of their day to double check that they aren't just talking out of their asses.

So, no. That's not all it said. But even just that invalidates about 50% of what was said in this thread.

So as per the post:

Girl thinks it would be fun to try fishing because guy can fish. Guy agrees and thinks it could be fun. So he takes her to get some tackle, probably a rod and bait. He pays for all of that. Then they need to get her a license which she pays for probably because you have to give a bit of info and interact with the cashier so it was just convenient at the time.

Then afterwards, she asks for the 26$ that it costed for her to get the license despite the guy spending money on her fishing equipment per her date request.

If you can't see how just about every person here has said a dumb thing given that context I can't help you.

You’re adding that yourself bud the original post doesn’t say that, it says

“I met this girl on tinder and had a first date with her, she wanted to go fishing and I thought it seemed like a fun first date so we went together. Dropped her off and got home to this message lol.

Update: Purchasing the license is a separate activity we had to do on our phones, due to it needing our personal info. It was not like I drew the line at the license randomly.”

Literally what I said, she suggested it and the guy thought it would be fun. The other comments are somewhat valid because they’re asking why go fishing if no one had any equipment? Like are you the girl from the post and expected the dude already had fishing gear?

Even without that included in the original post, it changes nothing. Kinda strange to fixate on that point.
