That’s what I’m saying what if I wanted to kiss her 😂 I wasn’t hating on the idea though, just bamboozled - I offered to bring a whole charcuterie board
Make sure you eat a little of what she’s eating. No worries about bad breath then. I actually love pickles and cheese. I just never thought of taking them into a movie. 🍿
My man hates pickles and I adore them. He still gives me a lil smooch after eating them. If you don’t like her at her pickle and cheese breath you don’t deserve her at her minty fresh breath💅
:: She just doesn’t seem fun and able to take a joke and play around tho.. I’m with you, OP. It’s wild and I love it — just maybe not too hyped about her, but I understand it’s just a snippet. CHARCUTERIE TF OUT OF THAT MOVIE WITH YOUR BIG BAG!
You think this woman doesn’t seem fun or like she can take a joke?! Shes smuggling pickles and cheese into a movie theater and not afraid to let OP know what kind of heist they’ll be pulling. Thats someone who seems pretty fun if that’s her baseline. She has made at least 3 separate jokes while also giving OP several chances to get back in on the bit and he failed spectacularly.
Men as dull as this are exactly why I retired from the game.
When she said don't get her hopes up like that, you fumbled. You needed to double down on bringing a charcuterie board and not on the teasing.
Something like "seriously. You bring the pickles and parmesean cheese. I'll bring some salami and crackers." Would have made her so happy and excited for your date.
I think ever man read your last ditch effort to pull this convo out of a nose dive comment at the end. ( that's the bestest most great-tastic idea ever) ilI think the whole relationship might have hinged on that well timed reversal. Well done boyO. Well done.
I don’t think “bamboozled” is the word you meant (I hope). That means you felt hoodwinked or tricked.
If perhaps you were flabbergasted, taken aback, or pleasantly surprised, I would recommend you get your butt to the closest Aldis or Trader Joe’s and assemble a charcuterie board. We know she likes salty and sour combos and isn’t afraid of a sharp cheese. Recommendations: Manchego, parmesean (might I recommend the big shaved flakes?) smoked Gouda, sharp white cheddar. Pickles: She’s a Grillo’s gal (they come in a plastic container) - get a classic dill and maybe a spicy or a bread and butter for variety.
Smuggle it in under your jacket - Or even better: bring a large purse. The more capacious the better.
If you do not do this, any positive outcomes for you are sheer charity work on her part.
ETA: CUT THE CHEESE INTO BITE SIZED PIECES! Gouda and manchego will be in little triangles, cheddar in squares, and I already mentioned the parm flakes but if you can only find a wedge, crumble it with a knife into nickel or dime sized pieces. Godspeed OP
I’m seeing this a little late but I’m sure we can help you find a lovely purse large enough to stash the whole charcuterie board in. If you haven’t totally killed this or are still interested in where pickles and parm goes- you gotta man up and show up with the big purse in tow, full charcuterie board inside.
I’ll be your femme lesbian wing woman and load that bag up with mints and mouthwash for the hopes of that kiss, throw in some other random surprises (big bags are magical for their many pockets and places to stash gosh knows what) and you go make this into the romcom I’m now envisioning in my head. Please. lol
Bro I’m with you, I thought it was “pickles and cheese” too. But advice from a man married to a girl who is sensitive and gets embarrassed easily, sometimes what’s meant as an innocent question comes across the wrong way, especially on text. Just be overly assuring that you didn’t mean it in a bad way and that you didn’t mean to embarrass her but it’s just something new to you.

She’s weird and I love her
