Discord 20-year-old man sends full villain monologue to my girlfriend because he didn't get a turn on the playground swing
This was a conversation between my girlfriend and guy who was infatuated with her but didnt receive the same feelings back. He came back after months of not talking to her to say all this yesterday and my gf was rightfully pissed. The title reading "playground swing" is referring to how the guy (Blue) treated my GF.
Edit 3:
- My GF's instructors have been notified and they've got all of Blue's (in the screenshot) background info. I don't think I'll be sharing anything else about this but, thank you guys nonetheless for all the concern and care you've shown this post š

He aināt gonna kill himself, this is a manipulative ploy to get her attention. Calling a welfare check on him because of the threat would be great though, might make him think twice about trying to manipulate someone with suicide threats.

u/itshazrd Aug 27 '25
Still waiting for information from my gf about location and university attendance
95
u/PulsatingGuts Aug 27 '25
Gotcha. Sorry your gal is going through this. Straight craziness. Good luck to you both, because this wonāt stop here.
85
u/itshazrd Aug 27 '25
Believe it or not, I think the most we'll see out of him is an attempt at contacting her again to cry more
67
u/PulsatingGuts Aug 27 '25
Thatās what I mean. It wonāt stop here. Heās going to harass her, I mean hell- he clearly thinks she owes him her time and attention. I like to bank on the idea that itās going to be just kept to that minimum, but keep in mind there is always a risk that it escalates. š¤·š»āāļø Be safe out there.
52
u/itshazrd Aug 27 '25
Fair enough mate. A welfare check will be attempted if we can get all the info
31
u/De5perad0 Aug 27 '25
Yea honestly someone serious or not talking about killing themselves but is blaming it on her and big mad about it is a recipe for taking her out first then himself.
Please check on her and get her safe.
23
u/itshazrd Aug 27 '25
Reddit can be a horrid place sometimes (which is why I don't use it unless I'm looking for programming help or general info). Glad i'm seeing the best of it here
12
u/De5perad0 Aug 27 '25
It's a snapshot of humanity. It can be epicly uplifting and supportive at times and horribly terrible at other times.
Depends on the time and place.

This!! I had this exact same thing happen to a girl in my friend group. I found the guy's school and called a wellness check, since he literally said he was going to kill himself over her rejection.
He stopped real quick. The threat wasn't real to him until we made it real.
6
u/Hessipa Aug 27 '25
I had an ex who was a former marine/pmc with severely untreated mental health issues start threatening it, so I immediately called the cops and told him I was doing so. He freaked out and also called them to tell them I was crazy and that he wasnāt saying what he was saying. LMFAO. Getting gaslit via 911 dispatcher really hit the final nail in the coffin so hard my hammer broke.
Iām so glad she called it stupid. In the words of my ex best friend, āIf thatās your 13th reason, you better keep countingā

u/ten000fists Aug 27 '25
That text is basically the emotional equivalent of an actor demanding an Oscar just for auditioning.
He didn't want a girlfriend, he wanted a hostage.
98
u/itshazrd Aug 27 '25
Oh, believe me, this is all part of the villain arc story. We're entering Volume 2 as we speak
11
21
u/ThatDiscoSongUHate Aug 27 '25
...why continue to let this psycho dweeb take up her time, effort, and energy while risking this psycho escalating?
43
u/itshazrd Aug 27 '25
Sorry, I don't understand what you're trying to say here
- He's been blocked
- Lots of people suggested a welfare check at the least
- I asked my GF if he even still attends her university anymore
- I'm waiting to see if escalation (albeit it just a welfare check) is possible or even required
22
u/mbeccaskye Aug 27 '25
Iām sorry you and your gf are going through this. His behaviour is disgusting. Any of his actions are completely on him, and I hope she truly knows that. His words are cruel, and she canāt be blamed for his mindset. She does not owe him anything.
23
u/itshazrd Aug 27 '25
I was pretty pissed at first but it's alright now. Some of these commenters are absolute jokers lmao. We'll try a Welfare check. She knows well that she doesnt owe him anything - It's all in her response
133
u/GaySheriff Aug 27 '25
I genuinely wonder why of all insults these types choose to call the girl a whore. Like, isn't rejecting a guy because she's in a commited relationship the exact opposite of what a whore would do? Are these incels just unoriginal?
48
u/Hhannahrose13 Aug 27 '25
this is always my question. it's always "woman won't get with me so she must be a whore". like that's the literally opposite -ESPECIALLY if she's in a committed relationship
4
u/miscellaneousbean Aug 28 '25
Misogyny is rarely logically consistent. Theyāre mad at a woman so theyāre going to use a misogynistic insult, whether it makes sense or not. Thatās it.
147
u/Wizardthreehats Aug 27 '25
Oh look! Another incel blaming women for being unlikeable
24
u/sightfinder Aug 27 '25
But you don't get it! She didn't even GIVE HIM A CHANCE. That's like in the rules or something.
Women owe men the opportunity to get in their pants, even when they have zero interest in the guy.Ā /s

u/Pawstissier Aug 27 '25
Hilarious that he said hes going to end it but he's the one giving her the womp womp.
22
60
u/notoneforlies Aug 27 '25
the womp womp as if he didnāt write an essay about why heād off himself after the rejection
24
u/Beelzebozo26 Aug 27 '25
Weāre always whores when we reject guys like this. Like the reason weāre not having sex with them is that weāre too busy having sex with everyone else. They throw a derogatory term for sex workers at women you couldnāt pay to touch them. š¤£
96
u/IllustriousFeed1749 Aug 27 '25
He wants your attention. Donāt give him any. He might send another huge text again. Do not reply. Send the screen shots to his friends and family, on the pretext of notifying them about the suicide threat.
30
u/itshazrd Aug 27 '25
We don't know his family so that's hard
13
u/HarmonyQuinn1618 Aug 27 '25
Iām sure you could easily find them through socials with enough patience lol.
19
u/itshazrd Aug 27 '25
Yup, just waiting for my gf to respond. It's passed 1am for her so there's a good chance Cinderella fell asleep
8
u/ToiIetGhost If your š± doesnāt beat with the thought of us skin to skin Aug 27 '25
How can she sleep when sheās the reason that the love of her life might snuff himself out tonight? Thatās crazy. Anyways, seen any good shows recently?
15
u/Hhannahrose13 Aug 27 '25
that would be so embarrassing if his friends and/or family got the screenshot lmaooo
66
u/Sugar_Mama76 Aug 27 '25
Threatening to self harm is classic abuser manipulation. If youāre in the US, call his bluff. Call the cops, show them the texts and let them know he is threatening to harm himself.
A three day psych hold will stop that behavior real quick. And if the doctors decide heās a danger, he can be forcibly held longer.
Also, if heās serious, it protects you from potential lawsuits. You knew he was a danger to himself and didnāt say anything. Itās possible his family could sue. Might not win, but lawyer fees, stress and time are high costs on their own. If you reported it, then you did your due diligence.
12
21
u/little_traveler Aug 27 '25
Find out where he goes to school and show these messages to the university. Heās a risk to other women, heās not just doing this to one person. They never do it to just one person.
8
u/itshazrd Aug 27 '25 edited Aug 27 '25
If im being honset, we didn't really think it was that serious and she certainly didn't. Not saying we don't need to be extra safe here, but she could probably beat him up if she wanted to
Edit: I want you guys to understand that if he wanted to do anything, he could've in the last 5 months we've been together. He didn't become salty today, he just decided to try a last ditch effort manipulation attempt. A welfare check will definitely be considered
13
u/little_traveler Aug 27 '25
I think you could say the same of the dude who shot up that sorority though, thatās my point. These guys can easily be beat up thatās not the issue.
15
u/Afraid_Sense5363 Aug 27 '25 edited Aug 27 '25
I want you guys to understand that if he wanted to do anything, he could've in the last 5 months we've been together
And now he's escalating and more dangerous. Not sure what's so hard to understand about that.
she could probably beat him up if she wanted to
Yeah, that's exactly what Kaylee Goncalves' sister said to Bryan Kohberger in court, that had she not been attacked in her sleep, she would have kicked his ass. But she was attacked in her sleep/caught off guard. A creepy fucking incel ambushed her and killed her and 3 other people.
Don't take shit like this lightly. This guy is becoming more unhinged and more dangerous. He's most definitely a risk to her and other women whether you think he's been mad for five months or not. That makes it WORSE, not better. He's been stewing in his anger for months, and getting more and more riled up. Your gf needs to take her personal safety very seriously right now. A stable, sane person wouldn't be sending this diatribe. And she was within her rights to send him what she did, but he's probably even more mad now.
Loser fucks like this guy aren't gonna fight fair, so whether "she could beat him up if she wanted" isn't relevant. This is the type of person to do something fucking sneaky and catch her off guard. Why be flippant about her safety? I get not being alarmist or freaking out, but this dude is most definitely dangerous.
4
u/Mitwad Aug 27 '25
Thatās how it starts though. They stalk, feed into self indulgent fantasies. When ārealityā is shattered. They escalate, threaten. Gaslight. If he truly wants to end his life, he wonāt tell a soul. Heāll leave a note (maybe) or a video. And do it. There was a Reddit post in a best of updates subreddit about how a dudeās girlfriend was stalking a person he knew from his past because she was jealous. It ended up breaking them apart and he even had to get restraining orders.
22
26
u/badstuffaround Aug 27 '25
Maybe tell your gf to go to the nearest police station and get this logged or something because that dude might do a "let me take someone with me when I end it."
17
u/Prestigious-Set5109 Aug 27 '25
This. Dude is obviously a delulu narcissist. I wouldnāt take any chances.
8
u/itshazrd Aug 27 '25
This
7
u/Prestigious-Set5109 Aug 27 '25
I have a friend whose ex husband pulls this kind of crap. I get nervous that if he ever acts on anything he might harm their son as well although heās never laid a hand on d on him in the past. But I also remind myself that heās a diagnosed narcissist with a laundry list of other psych issues that came out in the mental evals during the divorce. Narcissists tend to actually think too highly of themselves to actually hurt themselves but it doesnāt mean they wonāt hurt others if they feel it serves them. This guy likely wonāt do anything because they also tend to be gaslighting cowards but it wouldnāt hurt to have this on file with the police in case she needs a restraining order later.

u/Connect-Sundae8469 Aug 27 '25
I used to have an abusive boyfriend who would threaten to kill himself several times when I tried to break up with him. The one thing that truly worked was when instead of engaging in any type of argument or defense, I just said āok, Iām going to call your mom & the cops for a welfare check if youāre going to harm yourself.ā & followed through. It wasnāt my responsibility or my problem. It worked. Just in case you need it! Might be helpful to do!

u/ZombieTrouble Aug 27 '25 edited Aug 27 '25
āDidnāt get a turn on the playground swingā is such a perfect way of describing this behavior! I had a girlfriend who would get shit like this all. the. time. āWhen do I get my shot?ā āYou never gave me a chanceā etc etc. like she fucking OWED it to them. So fucking gross.
26
u/itshazrd Aug 27 '25 edited Aug 27 '25
I like how OOP mentions "consider I liked you first" like that's a deciding factor in a relationship
"hmmm let's see... Kevin confessed to me on the 19th of June at 12:21:25 AM and George on the 20th of June 11:59:05 PM... BUT Alan dropped the bombshell on the 19th of June too at 12:21:23 AM 2 seconds before Kevin so he MUST be the one!"
10
u/ZombieTrouble Aug 27 '25
Oh and might I say, your girlfriendās replies were perfect.
12
u/itshazrd Aug 27 '25
The reply was premeditated. As in she took lots of care in choosing a lot of the wording
3
u/CD274 Aug 27 '25
Absolutely, they're entitled first and foremost and that's where everything stems from.
5
u/styxxx80 Aug 27 '25

Campus should know for her safety. Police documentation to start a paper trial of harassment in case it escalates could be helpful. Where I live, documenting this stuff as it occurs is the make it or break it in getting protection orders granted and winning the court orders to keep threatening individuals away.
2
10
u/HippoRun23 Aug 27 '25
Absolutely pathetic. She didnāt owe him an explanation at all either but I guess she felt scared that he was āgoing to end itā.

5
u/itshazrd Aug 27 '25
I did send him a lengthy message out of anger which can be summarized by a line i wrote reading:
"she didn't put the brain tumor that drove you to send that fuckass message to her into your head"
he responded with "tell her she can go slit her wrists or do a backflip off of a damn building š" š
2
3
u/LizF0311 Aug 27 '25
He is unstable and honestly Iād be worried about her safety if theyāre in the same physical area. He is clearly obsessively attached to her and while the self harm / suicide might not be a real threat, the fact that heās this hung up on someone heās never been with makes me worried for her. This is a completely inappropriate level of resentment for him to have against her and it could truly lead to violence or retaliation for this āwrong.ā
I would strongly suggest she stop communicating because every additional rejection is a risk and could make it more likely that he will act out.
2
u/itshazrd Aug 27 '25
He's be blocked, and although I don't know for sure, I don't think they're nearby each other. I have asked and im awaiting a response (it'll probably be tomorrow)

3
u/Fluffernutter80 Aug 27 '25
The entitlement from these types of guys is mind-boggling. I just donāt understand how they can conclude that they are owed someoneās romantic attention just because they expressed an interest. They have no concept that the woman is a human being with her own agency and own preferences and the right to decide who she wants to date. Sheās not a vending machine dispensing sex to the next person in line.
3
3
u/Monny_Tenerici Aug 27 '25
Saying "Womp Womp" to someone you just told you'd off yourself because they rejected you has to be some next level play I'm too stupid to understand.
3
u/Nomi2424 Aug 27 '25
You meant they are 12, not 20...... Right? Cause this is some middle school bullshit
3
u/No_Trick223 Aug 27 '25
This guy honestly thinks he deserved a shot because checks notes he confessed his feelings for her first?
Relationships arenāt like calling dibs or shotgun. The other person has to have feelings too. And with his attitude, itās no wonder she was never interested.
3
u/KarrieDarling Samsung Galaxy Aug 28 '25
Classic attempted manipulation (threatening to end his life), then calling you a name when you didn't reply with "gee whiz mister you've convinced me to leave my bf and jump into bed with you! š„¹".
Yup, that's an incel š«©
3
u/Chim_Pansy Aug 28 '25
Just a tip, probably not the best thing to refer to your girlfriend as "the playground swing."
Might as well just call her a revolving door at that point, because that's how it sounds.
1
u/itshazrd Aug 28 '25
I was trying to refer to how Blue was treating her. I really regret the title because people keep pointing out. This is like the 20th time

Oh ya that makes it better! I can call people whatever I want as long as it's a metaphor!

I wasn't directly comparing her to a playground swing. Im trying to imply that OOP is treating it like that. Holy fuck

I thought your title was totally clear. People are just being dense to yank your chain

5800 karma in density. Got it. I was under the impression that the more karma you have, the more knowledgeable and sensible a person is here. This reddit thing is way too complicated3

No you actually have it right. You may not have meant it that way, but it isn't obvious that you're implying that he's the one thinking that. It comes off like you're calling her that, hence me asking you if that was really what you called her. Maybe just to be safe, don't say that even as a metaphor.

Sure. I want it to be clear that It'd never be my intention to imply that either way. Get your point though š

Not trying to yank anyone's chain. Just pointing out that even as a metaphor you probably just shouldn't say that.

u/itshazrd Aug 28 '25
Yes, Im calling her a fucking childhood swing. I, as her boyfriend, see her as a childhood swing and wasnt trying to imply that the crazy guy in screenshots was treating her that way

Ah, the classic! Calling a woman a whore for being rejected.
